I have a countertop compost container with a round lid that accepts these carbon filters. I don't replace them all that often because when I put kitchen scraps in it, I typically cover the scraps with coffee grounds, which effectively blocks any odors. I just purchased a second compost container, and will use it exclusively for kitchen scraps, so I will start replacing the filters regularly. They are a nice fit for my lid, but your mileage may vary, based on what type of compost container you have. One thing I have had happen with other brands is that the disk is too large for the lid, and the edges fold up. This allows for fruit flies to get into the compost material generating, you guessed it, more fruit flies. I fought with them for about three weeks trying to get their numbers under control before I realized where they were coming from. These filters seem to fit better than the ones I originally bought, so I don't have concerns that fruit flies will be an issue with these. Even if I replace the disk every two or three weeks, this pack will last me for several months, so it's a great bargain.

Once installed, they worked perfectly and controlled the odors from inside of the bin very well. Could not smell the bin contents until the cover was opened. I'd say they worked great. They do need to be replaced about every 3 months.

I love the product, however, the size was too big. My fault so make sure you measure. I just cut them down and will continue to use.

I have been using these filters for years to put in my "compost bin," I use the bin to store recyclable waste before taking it to our communal disposal. They are flexible enough to fit perfectly. I use 2 at a time, and they keep smells at bay, which is their purpose.

These work well. Keeps smells down. No fruit flies. They last several weeks to a month.

I cannot recall the brand, but I have a standard stainless steel composter and these filters do not fit in the lid. They are too small, so they fall out. Also, the filters are so thin you can see through them. There does appear to be at least a minimal amount of carbon in them. I will be unable to use them and too lazy to send them back. I will spend more for better quality next time.
