If you’re looking for a premium decaf coffee that doesn’t compromise on taste or aroma, this is as good as it gets.The beans come in illy’s signature pressurised metal tin, which helps preserve freshness and aroma much better than most standard packaging. The tin looks smart on a shelf, and the pop you hear when opening it is always a sign of quality.The roast is medium, leaning toward the darker side of medium, and the beans have a lovely glossy sheen without being oily. The smell when grinding is rich and inviting — hints of chocolate, a touch of nuttiness, and a subtle floral edge. It's hard to believe it’s decaf just by the aroma alone.I brew mine with a bean-to-cup machine and occasionally a French press. In both cases, the results are consistently smooth, well-balanced, and full-flavoured.
