NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER โข When a notorious thief is out for priceless treasure (gems! cats! general decorum!)โwho're you gonna call? An elite team of crime-fighting underdogs, that's who! The Misfits are on the case in this hilarious series from Newbery Honoree Lisa Yee and Caldecott Medalist Dan Santat! โFor any kid whoโs felt like a misfit, this crackling adventure packs a wallop!โ โLincoln Peirce, creator of Big Nate and Max & the Midknights Olive Cobin Zang has . . . issues. And they mostly arenโt her fault. (No, really!) Though she often slips under the radar, problems have a knack for finding her. So, imagine her doubts when sheโs suddenly dropped off at the strangest boarding school ever: a former castle turned prison that's now a โreforming arts schoolโ! But nothing couldโve prepared Olive for RASCH ( not โrashโ). There, sheโs lumped with a team of other kids who never quite fit in, and discovers that the academy isnโt what it seemsโand neither is she. In fact, RASCH is a cover for an elite group of misfits who fight crime . . . and Olive has arrived just in time. Turns out that RASCH is in danger of closing, unless Oliveโs class can stop the heist of the century. And as Olive falls in love with this wacky school, she realizes itโs up to her new team to save the only home thatโs ever welcomed them. Review: Fun read - Was a gift for a young reader and she loved it! Review: Good Book - 10 year old daughter who isnโt that enthusiastic about reading loved it. Cute story, fun characters. She learned a lot of new words from the text too and didnโt find it too frustrating.

Terrific, Funny Mid-Grade Mystery
Lisa Yee and Dan Santat hit it out of the ballpark. Wonderful funny fast-paced story about a bunch of misfits, who turn out to have special talents. This story takes place at a boarding school RASCH IT'S A REFORMING ARTS SCHOOL. I never figured out what the CH stood for. I'm looking forward to finding out the answer in the next book. Oh, please let there be a next book. This is a story about a group of kids who have very special talents. They are chosen to become a spy unit for an elite undercover group. Stakes are high, because if they don't solve the mystery, RASCH, the school, they've come to love is history. I love Dan Santat drawings of the characters. This is a really fun book and I highly recommend it.

Great for middle school kids
This is a fun quick read! It's a story about a bunch of kids who all have special talents or skills. They all go to this school, and are brought together as spies to solve a mystery. Everyone is counting on them because failure means the school is toast. This is just good old fashion fun. Perfect for middle school ages. Thank you netgalley for allowing me to read this book.

Loved by 4th and 5th Grade Students
Strongly liked by 4th and 5th Grade students. Has great visuals, good comedic timing, a gripping story and an attractive hardcover. Really taps into that childhood escapism of "my friends and I are on an adventure that the adults have no idea about" except...maybe they do? Would definitely recommend for somewhat reluctant readers.

Great childrenโs book.
My child loved this book, said it was; super interesting, with plot twists (even at the very end), good for fans of Mr. Lemoncelloโs library, The mysterious Benedict society, and books by Kelly Yang. Notes: My kid is new to Lisa Yee but said that she is a really good childrens books author. It had a few pictures by Dan Santat spread throughout the book. Recommended for children ages 8-12 but adults might find it interesting.

100% FUN
I thoroughly enjoyed this hilariously outlandish story of a group of misfit kids who are brought together to be a team of spies. If you are expecting something realistic, look elsewhere - this is 100% FUN! I loved the twists and turns in the story, the exaggerated side characters, and the team of misfits especially. While this book focused on Olive, I expect future stories will give us more backstory about the other misfits. Dan Santat's illustrations make this even more fun to read! My 11yo read this and loved it, so it is kid-approved! Readers who enjoy Stuart Gibbs, Mac Barnett, or Max Braillier will love this series!
