Good Bad Girl

This is such a brilliantly crafted thriller that it had me hooked from the first page. The plot is so brilliantly laid out and is full of twists and turns that kept me guessing - Feeney really is some kind of magician when it comes to plot twists!Each woman in the story—Edith, Patience, Frankie and Clio—felt very real and relatable, and all have secrets that unfold in unexpected and satisfying ways. I loved how it’s obvious from the outset that these characters are linked but it’s not immediately clear how they’re linked; just when you think you’ve made the connection the author pulls a different coloured rabbit out of the hat and proves you wrong! The writing is sharp, emotional, and laced with just the right amount of humour and heart. With themes of motherhood, guilt, and forgiveness, this book is so more than just a page-turner. The dual timelines and multiple perspectives are seamlessly executed, pulling the reader deeper into the mystery with every chapter. I loved it! Highly recommended!

Great story, great characters, lovely twisty plot. Love Alice's books. My only gripe is that for an English writer there are far, far too many American spellings. Pyjamas, not pajamas; favourite not favorite and everything that is -ised is -ized. As for sidewalk instead of pavement!!!! And more.
