Star Trek: Resurgence - PS5

As a fan of previous Star Trek games like Voyager: Elite Force and Hidden Evil, I found this to be such a great game. It’s clear that the studio had a limited budget but they made the most of what they had. They built on a story from the next generation and did their homework. It’s clear that the developers are true fans of Star Trek and it shows. And the cameo appearance put a big smile on my face. The gameplay can be a bit janky at times but the story makes up for it. If you like telltale games then you will like this. If you like Star Trek then you will love this game.

Star Trek fans will love this game. Really compelling story with plenty of challenges to over come or solve. Classic story and fun all the way.

So we honestly haven't had a great star trek console game in years (excluding star trek online), so what to expect from resurgence? In all honesty it's pretty much as if telltale games made a star trek game, most of the game is dialogue and cutscenes mixed with quick time events and small interactive sections and of course some big and little choices that change the outcome of the story. Does it get a bit repetitive yes, are some of the action sequences very janky and under polished? Yes, is there some occasional glitches and stuttering graphically, yes....but the story keeps it all together and keeps you playing. The story is titular star trek with a bit of a darker tone which I actually really enjoyed and is suitably well written. All in all its probably the best trek game on console in the last 10 years and it's honestly really enjoyable, if you are a trek fan you will overlook it's flaws and enjoy it, a non trek fan...not so much

I'm not an 'avid gamer' but although an OK game, I think this could have been so much better. It somehow felt rushed or incomplete. The control system felt clunky, with the movement and interaction with things rather tricky. The overall look of the game felt 'unfinished' with the character movements and look 'glitchy' The storyline/cut scenes made the game feel slow. I am going to persevere with it, but given what the PS5 console is capable of I think the developers have missed a trick with this one!

This is such a brilliant game graphics spot on very very addictive you are more hands on ie interacting with other carictas with the missions you start being the first officer the then you are engineering .....this game is very addictive 👌

Got myself this as a xmas present. Not disappointed! As a fan of everything trek there have been a few lacklustre games in the past but this one is one of the better ones. Has got great replayability with different outcomes depending on the choices you make through the game. Sure there are a few things i would change but nothing that takes away from the overall experience.

This is a great game. I'm a trekkie and have played this game and love it. Absolutely great.

The controls are a bit rough but if you are into older star trek this game is amazing. Great story.
