Great game!!
This was the holiday game my family chose to take with them. Now the holiday game can always make or break the holiday. This one certainly made the holiday. It is a very good size for carrying, not too heavy at all. There is a very good variety of questions and it never seemed to be too hard. Bare in mind all my siblings are over 20 years old, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend to young families. If you love the show... This game is definitely for you!

Some failings
We love the series, so were excited at being able to take a version of it on holiday. However we were slightly dissapointed due to the short time it can take to complete a game, the repetativeness of the types of questions / 'rounds' and the poor range of points available within the answers. Let me explain: The game consists of 6 rounds of the same type of format - always the format which has at least one pointless and at least one incorrect answer - so one person picks an answer, then the next, then you look to see how many points each person has, then you go 'back down the line' with the second set of answers. There was no sign of the rounds which have one part of the question given & you give the other part of the answer. If you get it correct you get the number of points for the answer, if it is incorrect you get 100 points. The other issue was one of making things a bit more interesting - if you look at the range of points 'available' it will often have from 0 to mid-teens / 20's only for the correct answers. So if one person picks even the most well known answer it might only be 15 points which means that if you score 100 for an incorrect answer in any round the chance is you've lost the game. Maybe they've picked questions which were unsuitable for use on the show, but for every single question to be like this leads to a boring game with no chance to get back in the game after you've scored a 100. Overall it does make you think, but the playability is poor.

Nothing like the real thing :0(
Bought as a gift for my boyfriend, who LOVES the T.V. show, to play on holiday. Turned out it was more multiple choice than knowledge based, totally missing the point of the game. Really very disappointing. Have played and really enjoyed the board game - why could this not be more similar?

good game
It was lots of fun around Christmas, not too hard and we all had a go, didn't take it too seriously and we cheated a little on how we played it. It came quickly and is compact so easy to take away on holiday to play at the airport!!!

You need to know the television show really well, and even then it's a mess.
This game was an utter disappointment; the rules are overly complex and once we did figure them out, the game was incredibly boring and over very quickly. I've seen the television show a couple of times (which is what tempted me to buy this in the first place; I thought the game would be actually fun to play like the game show), but I do not know the rules of the game show off by heart which is apparently a prerequisite for playing this game, as the rules, while being lengthy, are incomplete. It isn't explained why certain answers are more favourable than others, and there is no answer to the mystery of how many points the incorrect answer, marked with an 'X', is worth, so we just made it up. Beyond the terrible instructions, the trivia on the cards seems to have been taken from a version of Trivial Pursuit from the seventies; none of the questions seemed 'current', which made this game even more infuriatingly dull. This is, without a doubt, the worst game I have ever played. I completely regret buying it.

Good game
We bought this as we were on a road trip - nice and light for packing and everyone could join in, good fun and questions up to the high level expection of Pointless. Used the cards just for asking questions as tricky in a car keeping scores but nevertheless kept the troups occupied!

It's a great idea for a game
It's a great idea for a game, but it's a shame some of the answers are wrong! Just a quick search on Google told us that some of the correct (and obscure) answers were not included in the game for some reason.

Great game for travel or at home
We love this game - really well thought out and a great size, hence being a Travel game, but just as good playing anytime and anywhere! It's based on the old second round of the programme. It gives a question and lists possible answers, some right, some pointless and some completely wrong. The box you slide the question cards into displays the questions and answers but keeps the points hidden. Loads of double sided cards, so loads of questions - and I'm sure there'll be a question with the answer being 'Central African Republic' in there somewhere!! Really happy with it, especially for the price.
