I used one to carry my wallet, shoes, light jacket, keys, makeup, cameras, batteries, etc. I used the other one to carry dry food items. There is a small side pocket that is perfect to store keys or lipgloss for easy access. The bags are large and durable. The handles are thick and long enough that it is not too uncomfortable to carry. Tightly woven; the perfect size to hold more than just paper. Stitched up nicely. My only complaint— NOT colorfast. There was a lot of excess dye that bled seeped out when I rinsed off the water soluble stabilizer. My advice is to WASH FIRST to prevent being stuck in the rain and having it bleed black all over you. Don’t let that discourage you from purchasing— they’re great bags.UPDATED: I have dropped my rating to four stars. After the first washing, the fabric edges began unraveling. It’s a simple matter to cut the strings, but it shouldn’t be necessary. The seams and zipper held strong.
