I ordered this to replace a new Plano single tray box. The Plano had sharp edges, a broken arm on the tray, and a hinge that was improperly installed. The Flambeau is well made, no sharp edges, opens and closes smoothly, the plastic is heavier but not brittle. This is my first Flambeau but it won’t be the last. I returned the Plano.

I loved the little expanding feature it has because it lets me store even more lures and lets me separate my rubber baits. The only issues I came across were that the lid will detach from time to time and the little dividers it comes with are slightly short but if you put the frames together they fit in perfect. I accidentally dropped it about a foot off the ground from a picnic table and the only things that moved where the top baits, which is were I keep most my rubber baits so it was no issue. The little lid next to the handle is also VERY sturdy.

I use this for something completely different then fishing.. I have a big Okeechobee Fats tackle box, but I use this for drywall hanging.. I have my AKKTOL Molly Bolts for Drywall & Plaster Walls setting tool in the bottom, with my stud finger and one of my levers, also have about 8 different Molly's and wall anchors in there. Its perfect so if im hanging a floating shelf or picture I literally just grab this and its got everything I need.. size is good, versatile and good functionality..

This is a good little box for starting to build out your fishing kit. Plenty of space for lures in the trays, and you can fit a surprising amount of stuff in the bottom (I can cram 2-3 packs of scented soft plastics in there along with a few rigs, scissors, pliers, etc.). It's light enough to carry for some distance - I fish some lagoons on barrier islands and often have to walk a bit. It'd also be good for a kid to carry due to size/weight. My only real word of caution would be about durability. I feel like I have to baby this thing...the tray mechanism and dividers feel pretty flimsy. Of course, at around $11 you probably should expect some signs of cost savings during production, so it's still a 4-star product in my book.

I got this to put my sewing gadgets and supplies inside. It has room for a surprising amount! More than I thought it would when I got it and opened it. I am very pleased. It is well built, of sturdy plastic and handles, and latches well. It's been serving me well these last few months and I forsee it will last me a long while.

I love this product for the organization features. It has all the compartments I needed to put together my family first aid kit. That being said. It is made of a cheaper plastic. The base is pretty sturdy and the top feel sturdy but what is NOT sturdy are the hinges on this unit. Every time I open the lid, the left hinge comes undone. It is increasingly annoying. I had a few items in the outer lid compartment and ended up removing them in the hopes that it would help the box hinge from coming undo. No dice. It still comes undone. I kept the box because I just pop the hinge back into place, but if you plan on using this for a fishing tackle box, I wouldn't recommend it. I still works for my family and I because we have the time, patience and space in the bathroom to pop the hinge back into place and adjust the lid as we open it. If your fishing, it would be so very impractical. As a fisher-woman I would never recommend this as a tackle box. This is better suited for indoor organization purposes only.
