This gizmo works great! We chose the 2 ball ice maker, so as to not take up too much room in the freezer, but you do you. Came up with crystal clear ice on the first try. Now, we used filtered water, so can't say how well tap water would work. The instructions insist on 24 to 30 hours freeze time - after 30 hours, it turns into a pumpkin? Also, we're gonna check what happens if we don't wait the full 24 hours... it'll burst into flames? And what about food coloring? the possibilities are endless!

I really like these clear ice cubes. I wish they were bigger. They do look like diamonds. And doesn't take up too much room in the freezer.

I’ve used directional freezing to make clear ice for years that I would then cut into large cubes or spears. I knew I couldn’t cut a diamond so I bought this and it is PERFECT

It’s a bit tricky to get the perfect clear freeze but when it happens it’s breathtaking! Even rhe suboptimal freezes do the job in your drink. Tip for getting max bring is sprinkle some gold flake on it too. I find the smaller footprint in the freezer and relatively easy removal pretty good. Just let it sit at roomtemp for 10 minutes and it removes fairly easily.

Great novelty to have but might need more work. I love the diamond shape and the easy removal of the ice mold from the box. However, The tripled sealed container is supposed to produce clear ice by pushing air out of the mold during freezing. It’s a simple process and easy to follow but the flashy container doesn’t produce clear ice like the basic mold I use from ClearlyFrozen. As you can see in the image, the ice turned out foggy when using distilled water. This was my first attempt. I’m doing a second attempt to see if the error can be repeated by using tap water. Other downside is that it only produces 2 ice cubes per 24-30hrs of freezing.
