I have a pretty good understanding of electronics and I tested this power supply on a bench with 12v variable input before I installed it in my vehicle. When 12 V is removed from the ACC input, it draws about 250 mA, and the camera mirror automatically goes into the park interval record mode. The voltage had to drop to around 11.2 V for the power supply to cut power to the mirror, and the current dropped to basically 0 mA to protect the car battery. That is lower than the 11.8 V it advertises for cutting off power draw, and the risk is being able to start the vehicle at the lower voltage. For this, I give it four stars. I think this is OK for normal daily driving. But I will install a switch on the battery feed to the power supply to manually turn it off if I will park long-term. Overall the power supply works as needed, puts the mirror into the park interval recording mode, and will draw 0 mA if the battery gets too low.
