I was surprised at how bright it is when driven with 3 VDC. The beam seems well collimated with not much divergence. It is easily bright enough to be seen at night when pointing out stars and constellations, even in a low humidity sky. The manufacturing looks good. The laser itself is mounted into a brass barrel offering good heat sinking. The only partial negative is that the circuit board is exposed and held in place with hot glue. As long as you protect the circuit board, this laser should last a long time. the two power leads are useful, since no soldering to the circuit board is needed.

I got these to replace a laser diode that burnt out in a laser pointer I made. These diodes worked fine as a replacement. I don't have any complaints about them. I would buy more in the future if I need more.

This has a nice sharp beam. Well defined and very bright. A good body for a pointer.

Quality piece that produce strong light and was easy to work with.

Goes well with my UV, red, and blue lasers. Works great, no issues.

I think this laser is dangerous, because it is much brighter than the 5mw claimed in the ad. Using filters to reduce the brightness 90%, I could see it was still brighter than my 5mw red laser. There is no warning label on the laser (no label at all, actually), and it would be easy for an unwary or uninformed user to harm themselves. I won't be using mine, and will return it.

Although the laser has a lens focus adjustment, the beam DOT can not adjust below 0.25 Inch at 5 feet. very bright however

I only hooked it up to 3.3v battery. Very satisfying. I'm happy with my purchase
