I had thrown in the towel and decided to buy a second printer when saw something I had not considered during all my attempts at resolving the issue. Without a long boring dissertation about how I had missed this in all my efforts, suffice to say that I accidently that my two computers recognized the printer under different names (just an extra word difference). Now the splitter works perfectly. And I must state that just before I was about to correct this review, Herfair contacted me through desertcart asking me to get in touch with them and they would try to resolve my problem. I had not anticipated that kind of support for a relatively low cost item out of warranty. I do endorse the product and kudos to Herfair for their support!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple solution for a simple problem

This switch works better than USB hubs because it's not a hub. I have a USB keyboard that already functions as a hub, so adding another "hub" to switch it between two laptops just did not work well. Connectivity issues, disconnections, problems switching between laptops. This little thing does exactly what's needed. Connects my USB keyboard (that's also a hub for a USB mouse and a USB flash drive) to two laptops, allowing easy switching with a flick of a switch. Excellent, simple product with minimal physical presence. The cords are long enough to accommodate pretty much any situation I can think of on a typical work desk.
