Amazon Basics Rust-Free Steel Wire Tie-Out Cable for Large Dogs up to 90 lbs, Dog Leash Run Tether, 25 feet, White

So far this tie out cable has worked really well for my 110 pound German Shepard! I have had it a few weeks now and I wanted to wait to write a review because I wanted to be sure there were no product issues. I have had no issues and it’s sturdy and does not get all knotted up like the much thinner tie-out cable we purchase from the store for our pit bull who is half my GSD’s size. I am outside in the front yard working while I put him on this cable, I don’t leave him unattended just because. I also clip it to his harness so it won’t choke him. He is not very friendly to dogs he doesn’t know or some strangers and I feel completely okay having him on this cable because I really don’t think he will break it, trying to get at anything he feels is a threat. It’s pretty long so he can lay in the grass or stay in the garage on the couch. I added a thick carabiner to the end so I can loop it through and attach it to the loop in the cable just for my sanity. The clips on the end seem pretty strong but my baby is very very strong so the carabiner gives me peace of mind. He is older and hasn’t tried to chew through it, he doesn’t do that anymore he’s 4 now, he only chews on his squeaky toys and tennis balls. The price was much cheaper than any in the box stores so that of course is why I pretty much use Amazon for stuff like this. It came within one day with Prime as well. I tie it around a tree in the yard and double it up too because it’s long enough to do that and still give him room to play. It’s well made and I feel like we will get a decent amount of time out of this purchase. But I tie it always to his harness not a collar, I definitely recommend that. I also bring it inside when it’s not in use so it won’t rust but I did accidentally leave it outside and it wasn’t rusty at all. Anyway give it a try!

This cable is few feet longer than our old chain and our dog is enjoying exploring those new extra few feet to sniff. The cable is light and no tangle problems yet. It is an inexpensive step up for bathroom time.

I've used this cable for a long time I love it it works like it should the only downside is a piece of the plastic covering that goes over the actual cable broke off about a third way down and it is starting to rust my dog is very strong and he will take off running when it is attached to him and the little click down hooks or whatever you call them have not busted out in the cable has not came undone where it's clamped together is a very sturdy cable I would buy this again

Great job on what is needed

I’ve bought these from Walmart for years(different brand). Those would last maybe 2 months in spring, summer, and fall. During winter months and especially cold snaps they’d last 2 weeks. I bought this brand because Walmart sold out. Not only were these cheaper, but they’ve outlasted anything I’ve ever bought before!! No cracks in the vinyl yet and no signs of wear or breakdown.. I use 2 together for 60 lb lab mixes and even if they get tangled, it untangles easily with no damage. Very strong vinyl that is reflective longer

well made and does just what you expect. strong

Quick to get some rust but it is only on a few areas were there is a lot parts rubbing each others. Otherwise it is surviving its first winter.
