Very solid and easy to install. The lock feels sturdy, works smoothly from both sides, and gives extra security for my barn door and gate.

Allowed us to secure our access to the backyard from the inside and out side. The item looks really sturdy.

It was difficult to find a gate lock that was keyed on both sides as this one does. BUT the mechanism is very tricky to operate, and after about a year, the bolt started to rust.

Lock worked find front the outside but the inside is very hard to unlock. Key will spin and spin. you have to push on the bar so you can get it to unlock. A good ten minutes to finally get it unlocked. It is trash and has been replaced with a much better lock.

Ordered 2 last year for a garage project and love these locks. Now that I have a wooden privacy fence I thought I would get another one of these. This one even came with its own drill bit for the lock cylinder hole. The only thing I would change is I wish the sliding rod was a little tighter, but it gets the job done. One thing for sure is they feel well built and sturdy even with the little looseness, highly recommend.

I got this on a whim for my side gate as the old original lock I put on it kept unlocking on its own. At first I was skeptical but after fitting it I am impressed, its basic, easy and works. The con is you have to have a key to unlock it from either side, not a terrible thing but no switch on the inside side to just open it. The pro is from a distance looking up my sideway from my back yard I can see if its locked or unlocked as the chrome looking lock bar stands out against the black metal brackets and the gate. So its a thumbs up.

The Lock works great is easy to install, came with 5 Keys as well. I build a Fence Gate and Customer was asking to be able to lock it, I decided to order this and it works great,you can lock or unlock it from both sides without reaching out trying to open a padlock or something else Customer was very pleased and really happy with it as well
