Simple little battery tester, works on 1.5 volt and 9 volt batteries. Has an actual meter to show the voltage (it is not calibrated, however, just has "good", "low", and "replace" ranges marked). Holding the battery in place can be a little tricky, especially for button cells, but it only takes a moment to get a reading. Note that this will not work with 3 volt lithium cells.

I got this battery tester set hoping for a reliable way to check all our household batteries. Unfortunately, only one of the testers works properly- the other is completely non-functional. The working unit does its job well- it's easy to use, gives quick readings & has helped us sort out which batteries are still good. It is easy to use & lightweight so easy to hold. The screen is clear & easy to read. I do appreciate the design & how durable the one that does work is. However, it's disappointing that the second tester was a dud right out of the box. For a product sold as a pair, you'd expect both to function. If you're okay with a 50/50 success rate, this might still be worth it for the price. Otherwise, you may want to look for a more dependable option.

These testers are consistently accurate, cheap and very easy to use. Most people dont need anything fancy, just an answer to the age old question of "is this battery still good?" and this simple little device is the best option I have ever seen to answer that question at so reasonable a cost. Also have to say is that not only are they very durable (just replaced one i bought in 2018) but was pleasantly surprised to find this being a rare example of a product decreasing in cost instead of increasing like every thing else. I bought 2 a week ago for the price of the one I bought in 2018. One of the handiest and simplest gadgets I have ever had and well worth every penny if you have even a couple battery operated products.
