Great product! Works exactly as described

This little thing works beautifully. I was able to safely find the source of a 220 break. But take the batteries out when you're done. There's no OFF switch.

Why didn't I discover this sooner? It's a great tool to identify a "hot" wire without touching it? No more shocking surprises.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old great-nephew. You know who his father is?My nephew. You know who was a little pain and annoyed me when he was a kid? Yep, that nephew. The lad loved this thing. I showed it to him and he ran around my sister's house, the lad's grandma, holding it up to the light switches and wall sockets and it was going, Beep-beep-beep, half the night. I showed him how it worked on many of the walls that had wires in them. Now that is educational for a kid to learn. My nephew sneered,"That's a nice present", sarcastically. I told him it was his karma and payback. He owns a bakery and I mentioned that he could probably borrow it and use it there now and then. He admitted that, yes, he could, more often than he liked. More creative than a drumset. Get one for your grandchild, nephew, or you friend's kid. Their parents will thank you. Very affordable.

Just what I was expecting

I bought this non-contact voltage tester because it had good ratings, but it failed almost immediately. It worked only three times before completely dying. I replaced the batteries twice with brand-new ones, and it still would not turn on. Most likely the unit was faulty from the start. Very disappointing and not reliable at all.

Funciona pero da falsos positivos y es muy general no sería capaz de seleccionar el cable energizado de entre varias opciones si los tienes todos en la mano. Por otro lado es bastante más economico que las versiones más precisas. Lo deje para cuando es solo comprobar si algo está energizado a groso modo para el trabajo fino sigo con el fluke
