Excellent indoor camera โ great value and easy to use
Excellent indoor camera โ great value and easy to use I bought this to keep an eye on my autistic sonโs bedroom, especially at night, and itโs been absolutely brilliant for peace of mind. It would also make a great baby or toddler monitor for a fraction of the price of traditional ones. The app is very simple to use โ it takes a screenshot of the room every so often and records whenever motion or a person is detected. You can also watch live through the app, which works really smoothly. Itโs compatible with Alexa skills too, which is a nice bonus. The sound quality is clear both ways โ you can hear and talk through the app with no issues. The image quality is great, even in lower light. Just be aware there is a subscription service with Ring if you want to save or review recordings later. It was very easy to set up and comes with everything you need, including screws if you want to mount it. I didnโt want to drill into the wall, so I used some double-sided mounting tape (purchased separately), and itโs been perfectly secure. Thereโs also a little flap you can turn to physically shut off the camera view when you want extra privacy, which is a thoughtful touch. Overall, a brilliant, reliable camera โ simple, effective, and well worth the money.

Great little indoor security camera
Really impressed with this indoor camera. It was straightforward to set up through the Ring app and the picture quality is very clear, including at night. Motion detection works well and notifications come through quickly. I like that itโs plug-in, so thereโs no worrying about charging batteries, and the camera itself is small and discreet enough that it doesnโt look out of place in the room. The privacy cover is also a nice feature when you donโt want the camera recording. Two-way talk is clear and useful for checking in when away from home. Reliable, easy to use and a great addition to a home security setup

Good camera features
Brilliant camera. Easy to install. Gives a perfect picture and covers a wide area. You get a trial subscription which helps capturing things when you are away from the area. I would recommend this product.

My Thoughts on the Ring Indoor Camera
I wanted to get a little camera to keep an eye on my dog when I'm out of the house, and I didn't want a complicated CCTV system. This Ring indoor camera seemed like a good solution. It's a small, neat camera that just plugs into a socket, so the setup was incredibly easy. I just downloaded the app, connected it to my Wi-Fi, and it was ready to go in minutes. It's on a little stand so you can place it on a shelf or table. The picture quality is great. It's full 1080p HD, so the image is really clear and sharp, even at night. The two-way talk feature is pretty cool; I can actually say hello to my dog from work, and it's a bit funny watching her react. The sound is good and clear, so you can hear what's going on in the room, too. Itโs also got this neat little privacy cover, a small plastic slider that physically blocks the camera lens. Itโs a nice feature to have for peace of mind when you're at home. The best thing about it is how simple and effective it is. It does exactly what I needed it to do without any fuss. Itโs perfect for checking on pets or just having an extra layer of security. It's much less intrusive than a big security system. The only thing to be aware of is that if you want to save the video recordings, you need to sign up for the Ring Home subscription, which is a separate cost. Without it, you can only see the live view. Also, the camera needs to be quite close to your router to get a really strong Wi-Fi connection, so that's something to consider when placing it. Overall, I'm really happy with this camera. It's a fantastic alternative to a full CCTV system, and it would be perfect for anyone who wants a simple, effective, and flexible way to keep an eye on things at home.

All Round Excellent Solution
I started with a Ring doorbell in late 2022 and in the subsequent 12 months I have built up an array of 6 ring devices connected to perform various camera/doorbell variations. In 2017 I started out with two cameras from a rival firm which served me well for 8 years. For this review I will focus on just the power cabled indoor camera. I bought this model on one of Amazonโs discounted cycles for ยฃ30. Unless your needs are urgent, wait for the inevitable sale in January, Black Friday, Amazon Prime Day, Full Moon Day, Rainbow in the Sky Day or whatever the marketing types have cooked up. The indoor wired camera is easy to set up. It follows the same standard steps as all the other ring cameras. Scan the code on the back of the camera with your phone, join your local wi-fi and sign in or create your ring account on the website. This is much easier than the rival cameras I setup in 2017. You can then fine tune configure it. Multiple motion detection zones, audio recording on/off, infrared on/off, night vision colour option on/off, smart motion detection for motion detecting just people and motion detection sensitivity are all standard. There are subscription fees to view your recordings. Without the subscription fee you can just view live/current events through the camera. Subscription charges are per unit for the first two cameras at ยฃ3.49 each. After that you will pay no more than ยฃ8 in total a month for any number of cameras at the same location. So for my 6 it costs me ยฃ8 a month but if you pay a year in advance you can reduce that cost further. All Ring pricing options are cheaper than the rival cameras I used to have. When choosing a ring camera make sure you select the right model. They all do slightly different things in practice. The indoor camera is powered only by a wall socket. It is the only model I have encountered that you can place indoors looking outside through a window to detect motion outside through the window. The outdoor cameras on the other hand are battery or solar powered and are weather resistant but cannot be used indoors to look outside through a window to detect motion. I use my indoor cameras to look out the window and detect motion. They work well but of course if you get heavy rain or condensation on the window this will reduce what the camera can see. The camera can have infrared switched off โ pretty much essential when using it through a window. The camera also shows a blue light when recording activity. The only way to hide this is to put a black sticker or bit of tape over it. It does not effect the camera performance. The angle visible is very large. The picture is clear. The motion detection is good with zones that can be selected for movement although there is no independent motion sensitivity for each zone. Itโs one level for all. The indoor camera is fixed position so there is no pan and tilt but with the wide angle of visibility there is no need for it indoors and even looking out from a window it covers a large area. They can also be configured to work with Amazon Echo Alexa but I have not gone for that option with the indoor cameras. I am very happy with my Ring Indoor cameras. They are well priced. They are easy to setup. They have a wide viewing angle. The application to view recordings works pretty well but could do with a little activity graph per camera instead of a list of motion recordings. The picture quality is good. They are reliable. Subscription charges are reasonable and certainly cheaper than my previous make.

Camera came as a bonus to Ring Alarm. Turned to be brilliant!
Beside doorbell, I bought a ring alarm which was on a promo and came with this ring indoor camera. To my surprise it tuned to be another brilliant device from Ring. Simple, good quality, reliable and integrating perfectly in the Ring ecosystem though a single app as well as convenient pairing with Alexa. Let me quickly summarise what is it about: Good stuff: 1. Easy setup. No hassle, straight forward, no IT degree required - setup. If you don't have the Ring app, then just download it, quick account setup and just adding this camera in few easy and straight forward steps. The app guides you step by step. You'll be up an running in minutes. 2. Simple & Great functionality + safety features, including: - Nice, neat and clear event history - Mode settings that integrate with the Ring alarm ( Disarmed, Home, Away) and you can set up your camera behaviour for each mode (siren, notifications, recording or not, etc) - Video preview alerts so you see a snapshot in your phones notification bar without even opening the app - Smart alerts so you can get notified just on what you need - animals, humans, etc. (ring subscription needed) - You can link it with your ring doorbell, so for example if one detects movement - the other one automatically starts recording. Great addition to safety features. - You can enable/disable motion detection and alerts with a simple toggle. It can be convenient depending on what/who you need to monitor. For babies & pets might be great to get notified. - You can set multiple motion zones & schedules. This is super convenient as you can block areas that you don't want to be seen/recorded and notified about. Basically helps you get notified and what/when is important and not get bothered with lots of "false-positives". 3. With privacy in mind. - You can set up privacy zones that will be hidden from the video - You can deactivate the microphone in the app - You have a physical cover which with one simple movement blocks the view 4. Two way speech if you want to tell your toddler or cat an important message that will probably be ignored :D 5. Great with Alexa too. I have several alexas at home so a simple "Hey Alexa, show me the inside camera" brings you the picture up. 6. Good quality video, truly 1080P and decent even at night. 7. Can sound a siren :) Sure, it's not as loud as an outside one, but if paired with a ring Alarm, when the outside one, inside one + this camera one all start screaming the siren at once - trust me it becomes kind of psychological weapon. 8 Connectivity wise - mine is located in the other end of the house and from the wifi. Not that I live in a castle but never had a connectivity problem with this Ring camera. While, on the side note, have another brand external camera very close to where this ring camera sits - and that camera has very poor connectivity to the wi-fi, despite two massive antennas on it. TO NOTE: - Keep in mind, some features like keeping recording and rewatching them later requires a ring subscription, but main functionality is available without any subscriptions. In the end: Considering the price, especially if you catch it on discounts, the functionality and quality - I can responsibly recommend this device. Hope it helps in your decision making. Stay well & safe friends! Cheers

Ring cameras
We purchased this camera to enhance the security at our front door, and overall, it has proven to be a satisfactory choice for our needs. The video quality is decent and meets our expectations, especially since we already have other Ring cameras installed in our garden that provide a comprehensive view of our property. The build quality of this camera is impressive, as one would expect from a reputable brand like Ring. It feels sturdy and reliable, suggesting it will withstand the test of time. Setting it up was a breeze; the process was straightforward and took only a few minutes. Additionally, attaching it to the ceiling of our porch was effortless, thanks to its user-friendly design. In summary, I am very pleased with my purchase. This camera serves its purpose well, and I feel more secure knowing we have added another layer of protection to our home.its a plug in one so can't tell you about battery life
