My wife owns a "soldering" iron and we both use it. However, she has a problem returning the "soldering" iron to a place where I can find it after she uses it. Finally, I got fed up looking for the iron whenever I want to do some "soldering" and bought one of these. It came with a lot of soldering tips and soldering supplies, I wont be using. I'm happy to report that it arrived fully functional and works better than my wife's "soldering" iron. It seems to heat up the "solder" to a higher temperature and it creates more "solder" vapor. I can't speak to the longevity of this "soldering" iron but, the design looks very similar to my wife's and we've been "soldering" with that one for years. I'm positive this reaches over 420 degrees easily. UPDATE 10/10 stars. The battery life on this thing is absolutely insane compared to my old "soldering iron". I usually solder once a day in the evenings and with my "soldering" habits it literally lasts for weeks without being charged. Not only does the battery last, it keeps on "soldering" even though its been through some accidents. I ended up buying one of these because my wife's "soldering iron" eventually died. She also loves it btw. We were on a roadtrip and somehow she forgot she had brought her "soldering iron" in her bag. She also forgot to tap the button to turn it off, to be fair I never turn mine completely off either. Somehow the button was depressed for hours. I noticed a "solder" smell in the car and the faint smell of something burning. The "soldering" cartridge was so hot that it ruptured and melted "solder" all over the place. I thought for sure the iron was through but no. With a fresh charge and removal of the old "soldering" cartridge we were back in business. This is truly and amazing value and highly recommended!

Nicely made, simple to use but gets extremely hot for "soldering" it would be perfect if it had other heat ranges so you dont overheat your "solder"

Ive been using this for about a year now. Its been great honestly, its a hard hitter and will drain your stuff if you’re using it for the same reason i am, mine just broke bc i laid on it but thats on me. It usually will last me an entire cart before i need to charge it again. Great stuff i totally recommend for this, everyone prefers my battery over their own. They think its the cart but rlly its the battery

I really wanted to like this ELMCONFIG Cordless Soldering Iron for quick, bench-free repairs, but it is unfortunately more of a toy than a tool. While the 1100mAh capacity sounds sufficient for small jobs, the actual heat delivery is abysmal. The Failure Points: Poor Thermal Recovery: The iron struggles to reach a temperature high enough to melt standard lead-free solder. Even once it "heats up," the moment you touch a component, the tip temperature drops instantly and doesn't recover. You end up with cold solder joints and a lot of frustration. Battery Inconsistency: After only two full charge cycles, the unit started behaving erratically. The indicator lights would signal a full charge, but the iron would shut off after less than 60 seconds of use. A tool that you can't trust to stay powered for a simple wire splice is useless. Build Quality: The threaded connection for the tips feels loose and gritty. There is a noticeable "wobble" in the tip while working, which is a major safety concern when dealing with precision electronics. Final Verdict: Save your money and stick to a name-brand butane iron or a portable TS100 style unit. This "wireless gun" simply doesn't have the wattage or the build quality to handle even the most basic DIY repairs. It’s an exercise in frustration.

Works great for the occasional solderer like me. Heats up in about a minute. Everything needed to solder a few things together immediately. Not sure about battery life, although it arrived not fully charged. I was able to solder four joints without needing to charge.

This soldering iron has a nice, long lasting battery, and it heats up incredibly quick. The cap that arrived on mine doesn't screw on, but is still useful for holding the iron while it cools. It's nice, small, and sleek, and definitely worth the price. Although, the tip it came with did break very quickly, so look out for that!

420 friendly. Has a new home on my nightstand. Works great!
