Amazing
I never write reviews for items but i thought i had to for this. Simply put, these work and are an amazing solution if you dont want to shell out hundreds on an oem key. I had mine programmed by a saab shop, as others stated you either need a saab/gm specialist to program the key or a tech 2 to do it yourself. My mechanic was very surprised and pleased that the key worked, he even asked to write down the product so he can recommend it to other customers. If they can revise the physical key getting stuck in the housing problem, this is a perfect product.

Works exactly as designed by Saab
Alright so I wanted to make sure I came on here and wrote a review once I confirmed it was good. First off I am an ASE certified master tech over 16 years of experience. I'm a Saab enthusiast. This key worked 100% as it should with zero complications in the programing process. That being said, if you do not have a GM dealer that will still do Saabs or a certified lock Smith this will not work. I programed mine with a tech 2 factory GM scan tool with a Saab card installed. It also requires tis2000 software to gain security access on the tech 2. The software tis2000 only operates on Windows XP so you either need an old laptop or a new one with a virtual machine set up on it. You also need a serial port or serial port adapter for this to function as well. If you have all of those things once you follow the process the key programs instantly without hesitation and is of decent quality. The key blank will have to be laser cut at a local locksmith. All in all I am very pleased. Also if you no longer have a key at all for the Saab you will not be able to program this one. You need one existing key already programmed and still working for this process to work. If you lost all keys you will need a cim module (located behind the steering wheel) and key paired to that module. As long as you have an existing key and the above provisions this will work effortlessly with a 433mhz car. Make sure you have the correct frequency. These keys are 433mhz which most US Saabs are. Hopefully this will help the next Saab guy like me who had cheap shit Chinese ones before that would not program.

Worked perfectly...
Bought this key and had it programmed by a Saab dealership. They were surprised that it worked and said that I picked the right key. It saved me a lot of money ordering this key.

Does program and work with my tech 2 but…
The metal key blade took an enormous amount of force to pull out. Metal screwdriver in key loop and major pull that I thought would destroy the key to get it out to have it cut. Also, it came with a dead battery so it started the car after programming but the doors would not unlock. Replaced the battery and it all seems to work. So only ok ratings, will see if it holds up. Update: after grinding part of the new key metal blank base notch down some the key now does slide in and out. So my tech 2 Saab computer, key guy with laser key cutter and my motor tool, and I have 2 of these that work. Laser cut was $75 for 2 keys so I am ahead of the local shop…

Key shaft won't come out with any force. Needs design revision
Ordered 2 fobs. Both had the key shaft stuck in. Even qith excessive force they wont come out. Eventually one came with the internal housing that is holding it stuck on it. Basically the housing broke off the shell, yet the key was still stuck in the inner housing with a metal clip that is badly designed to not release the key with any kind of force. I saw previous revies about the key shaft falling out. So i guess they revised the design where it's never coming off unkess you break it. Too bad becaue I was hoping this would work.

Programmed great first time

The best you can get for the price.
Great alternative to genuine fobs, which are certainly expensive. As long as you have the tools required to marry them to the CIM, they work perfectly. Tell you what, the blades don't budge without an incredible amount of pulling. I managed to break handle from blade before separation. Other than that, absolutely recommend.

Works fine! Make sure to add key PROPERLY
Wow! I initially marked this as 1 star. But it worked flawlessly after performing the key add procedure PROPERLY! I first had to add the original key AGAIN before adding this one that I just bought! I was confused. I would make a video again to show the process if I end up buying it here again. Otherwise, check out youtube videos!
