Ip Man 3 [DVD] [2017]

Brilliant film ,worth bying

A good movie. Honestly out of the 3 movies this is not my favourite, but this is still a great movie. In my opinion the second was the best of the 3. The fight scenes are a little differently chorography I can't quite put my finger on it but things were a little different. For me having Iron Mike Tyson and Donnie Yen in a 3 minute fight was worth the price of the DVD alone and the extra interviews. Even though the billing is the fight between Mike and Donnie is the billboard of the movie, this is really just a side story. In fact the paper thin storyline was written simply to give these two a reason to fight. Also these probably did not want to do another movie with a boxer as the main bad guy. The fight itself comes off well. Though they based Tyson's fighting style on power (if there one person you cannot exaggerate punching power for it in Iron Mike), I am glad they did let him display some of his boxing skills, on the speed bag, and compact bobbing and weaving to break the distance. The real storyline is more of a passing of the torch the young lion believing it is his time to challenge the old lion or lions. In the role of the young lion is Cheung Tin-chi (Max Zhang), he is an up and coming street fighter with aspirations of becoming the next IP Man. However to be the best you have to beat the best. However IP Man has his only problems right now. There are a couple of brief appearances Danny Chan Kwok-kwan playing the role of Bruce Lee. Really apart from iconic value I am not sure what the point of this was.

Ip Man 3 is a great new movie with Donnie Yen and follows up from Ip Man and Ip Man 2. Ip Man 3 is closer to the original when it comes to story and acting. Didnt like Ip Man 2 that much due to lots of racism and politics included in the movie but Ip Man 3 I am glad to say has impressed me with fantastic acting from Donnie Yen. The participation of Mike Tyson is another extra which I loved.Quality blu ray is fantastic. As good as it gets. Worth every penny. Just get it.

The IP Man series has really been amazing movies and really shows the power of the Wing Chun martial arts. IP ma 3 is a good movie with lots of action and some good fight scenes. If you are into martial arts movies I would recommend the Trilogy (IP man 1, 2 and 3). The Sound is good just wish it was in DTS Master 7.1 audio.

very good film. Donnie Yen is a legend in my eyes. Tyson can't act to save his life but then again he's an x-boxer so that's what he does best. I love the way Donnie yen makes the film so genuine, no silly made up fake scenes, all looked very natural. Rather sad story but well made and I will be watching this film several times. One to keep for sure.

i absolutely love the ip man films, they are just fantastic for any kung fu film lover. i cant believe how quickly this was delivered either i was expecting to be waiting ages not just a day, very reasonable price.

It's not bad, but it isn't the first and is probably worse than the second, so in comparison it has to drop to 3 stars unfortunately. I would have loved to have seen more realistic takes on IP, flyig on tables to crowbar in Samo in number 2 wasn't great and Mike in this just feels like a story line to spread the franchise rather than learning anything about the character, even at a "based on true story" fictional level. Would have loved it to explore his introduction to Bruce as a story line rather than some over the top kicking of water.

Very good martial arts movie with great fights specially the fight between IP MAN and MIKE TYSON. For every kung-fu fan a must

molto scenografici, combattimenti ben studiati. chi ama il WC apprezzerà senz'altro la qualità dei combattimenti (inteso l'aspetto coreografico). non è in italiano

If you liked the first then definitely purchase this movie... amazing fights. Ip 2 was good but Ip 1 & 3 are amazing.
