Nippon 300g Ant Killer Powder

I got this because my broad beans were literally just covered in ants (at first I thought they were blackfly !) and one plant that wasn't attacked had 40 broad beans on it, whilst the attacked one had only 2 very small broad beans on it. I shook the container a couple of times, removed the lid and drenched the affected broad bean with the powder - the next morning the plant was "ant free", it was as though there never had been any ants there in the first place - just amazing. I then spotted just a few ants on the path in my largest greenhouse, then when I lifted up the matting there were literally thousands, so I put a liberal dressing of powder down - next morning they were all gone, so a second success, I have also bought some of the liquid to try too, which doesn't immediately kill them but lets them return to the ant hill, or nest and spreads the active ingredient (it is a different ingredient to the powder, which is a 'contact killer' and kills ants immediately), and I will be putting that down today. Conclusion : The powder is really 100% effective when it is directly put onto ants themselves but if you can't find the actual ants 'home' then you need the liquid as well ! 5 stars all day long from me, it is just an amazing product !

The powder does kill ants, and it’s effective. But it’s very messy to use – it blows around easily, leaves white marks on patios and indoors, and isn’t great if you’ve got pets or kids around. I ended up only using it in outdoor cracks or areas I don’t mind getting messy. Overall, it works, but I’d recommend a liquid or gel alternative if you want something cleaner and easier to handle.

Since the rare appearance of sun in the garden - 'a once lush green haven of peace and tranquility' it has been upturned into what I initially thought was a moles beach summer holiday. Surprised to find that red ants had set up battle posts in more waves than a alien invasion I ordered this super talc disguised as ant killer. After carefully 'digging over' their minor mountains and filling them with the white powder (which comes out at lighting speed) I patted them down as carefully as a ogre walking on daisies and retreated to the shower... No longer looking like I worked as a bakers apprentice, I carefully gazed over their territory to see if they were going home. Pleased to say I put the flag of success high up on the washing line 3 days later. Hurrrah! No more ants! Or so I thought :( Alas after applying patch repair to the damaged areas and carefully nursing the small grasslings to life, the ants have once again begun a retaliation. Even now I can hear their battle drums - I'd feel braver if I was going back out there with a flame thrower rather than talc. What can I say? Become a modern day warrior, throw aside your spears and take super talc with you to battle! Clearly the strategy of a superior mindset (or a lack of arsenal I'm honestly not sure which) Either way it kills ants just don't confuse it with baby powder.

Package arrived like it had been thrown around abit, had to reshape bottle so it could stand upright! Power works but the power does not flow out easily, you have to shake it alot , tipping it up and down regularly to then be able to squeeze it out. It initially looks like the powder isn't working as the ants continue about there way, but after a while all ant activity seems to stop!

I had an ant problem that escalated so quickly and could not find the source of attraction. I sprinkled a small amount on key heavy-trail areas and within 1–2 hours there were no more ants anywhere. It’s an absolute miracle and god send! 🙏🏻 There is no smell.

I remember this from when I was a child (several decades ago) so I trust the brand to control any infestations. I only use it outdoors. This summer we had an ant infestation in the garden and this stuff worked a treat. This powder works on contact. I also use the Nippon liquid ant killer to eradicate nests, because the ants take the liquid back to the nest with them.
