wolfcraft Quick-Action Vice 100 mm - Drill Stand Clamp with V-Slots

Bought this to use with my Bosch pillar drill. I'm impressed with it's quality and functionality, I've used it many times without issue. I'm happy I bought it.

Bought this to use with the Wolfcraft drill-stand. I thought it was expensive until I got my hands on it. Much better quality than I expected, and worth the money. A bit tricky to figure out how to attach it to the drill stand base in a practical way (see drill stand review) but very good quality and useful item.

I purchased this vice mainly to use with my Dremel WorkStation (I can't believe Dremel haven't made anything), and it fits and works great. There are various models and brands, but I specifically wanted one with the quick-release button on the side and not on the top like some models. Being on the side allows me to place things on top of the vice without the button getting in the way. It's also more intuitive having it on the side. The vice itself, although a bit pricey, is great quality. The packaging doesn't state the country of manufacture, but WolfCraft is a German company. The body is painted aluminium alloy, and the rails are 12mm black tubular solid steel. One of the good things is that the vice face plates aren't permanently attached, so they can be unscrewed and replaced/changed easily. On one of the vice plates there is a full-length horizontal and a vertical V groove (+) to make clamping round objects easier. Dimensions are: 180mm x 150mm for the body. 100mm x 100mm for the Vice jaws fully opened. 245mm is the total handle length, including the threaded shaft. The body has a full-width slot on each side, as well as a hole in the front for securing it. The quick release button works as intended, and it would be extremely tedious having to screw and unscrew the entire way without one. Overall, I'm happy with the quality and performance and would recommend it to others. Had it been a bit cheaper, I would have rated it 5 stars. G'Day from Australia.

Well pleased with the vice which was bought to go with a Wolf drill stand. A little pricey and could have done with suitable bolts/clamps to secure to stand, but not a major issue for me..

i've only used this twice and the vice is already broken. It will no longer tighten, simply slipping instead when attempting to tighten. A problem that appears to be rife with modern tools, they are just not built well enough for the intended job. Save your money and look for a quality second hand drill vice from an era when things were made to last! This is an example where a no star rating would have been more applicable.

J’ai acheté cet étau universel Wolfcraft 3410000 en fonte d'aluminium et il est rapidement devenu un indispensable dans mon atelier, notamment en complément d'un support de perçage. Les points forts : Construction robuste et légère : La structure en fonte d'aluminium moulée sous pression offre un excellent compromis entre solidité et légèreté, sans risquer de déformer le plan de travail.
