Coolest Mouse Ever? I Think So!
So, I've been using this HP Vertical Ergonomic Mouse for a few weeks now, and oh boy, it's a total game-changer! It sits upright, just like your hand naturally does, making it super comfy to use. Plus, the sleek matte finish is pretty slick. This mouse really nails it on performance. Whether I'm working or just goofing off online, the cursor control is spot on. It's even got a wrist rest for extra comfort! And the best part? No wires! My desk has never looked so neat and tidy. What really makes this mouse stand out are the extra buttons for easy forward and backward navigation - just click and voila! But here’s the real kicker: this mouse can stay connected to up to three devices at a time using the HP Unifying Dongle or Bluetooth 5.3. That’s right, THREE devices! Whether you’re using Windows, Apple, or Chrome devices, it transitions smoothly between them all. The easy switch button keeps you connected and in control of every click. It did take me a couple of days to get used to the vertical design, but trust me, once you get the hang of it, you won't look back. Plus, the battery life on this thing is seriously impressive one charge can last up to 6 months! So, if you're spending a lot of time at your computer, give your wrist a break and check out this mouse. It's not just a mouse, it's like the ultimate tool for a more comfy, efficient workspace. Do yourself a favor and give it a whirl!

Mouse wheel prone to breaking, do not recommend, do not buy
3rd UPDATE - DO NOT BUY: I took matters into my own hands and fabricated a steel shaft for the mouse wheel. From taking this thing apart I have found the problem. The shaft/axle for the wheel is plastic (this is very common among brands) and has a very thin point between the wheel and the rotation sensor. This thin point is where it will break. If you inevitably have wheel scrolling issues, its because of this. It will twist and snap and your scroll function will no longer work. After getting the wheel back in with a steel shaft, it's near-indestructible! I'll never have to worry about a broken shaft again. Except, the internals weren't built for a hardened steel shaft. Installing the wheel into the rotation sensor requires the axle to bend to make the wheel fit between the sensor and the opposing shaft support. During the install I damaged the wheel button. After some more months of use, the button effectively broke. I could maybe solder in a new button. But it's just not worth the hassle. What. a. pain! 2nd UPDATE: THE MOUSE WHEEL BROKE AGAIN ON THE 2ND MOUSE! In less than a month! I do not recommend! UPDATE: After dealing with Customer Service I'm bumping this down to 1 star. The service is more or less fine, but a warranty replacement is taking 2+ Months to be completed! How does it take 2 months for an off the shelf item to ship out!? Everything about this mouse has been great except the mouse wheel. The shape was narrower than I would have liked when new and I thought pressing on it consistently between work and games would hurt my finger, but I got used to it. Now the issue is the mouse wheel is broken after three months of use. Scrolling up works fine, but when I scroll down it constantly is going up and down. As if the sensor is fighting with itself. My work involves heavy use of CAD and scrolling in and out is a must, and beyond that it affects my everyday internet and gaming use. The mouse is near unusable because of this.

Comfortable mouse, no longevity
This is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. I've also had to buy 2 of these in under a year's time, both of which have broken from normal use. The scroll wheel will break if you use it's click function regularly, both mice had this problem. The second mouse also stopped moving the cursor smoothly across the screen, and instead it would skip and jump in whichever direction you would move it. This made it incredibly frustrating to even try clicking an icon, let alone play any games. 100 dollars each for less than 6 months of use is ridiculous. It's a shame because the ergonomics are perfect for me

Hello to ergonomic bliss!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't believe I waited so long to try the HP 920 Ergonomic Vertical Mouse! This mouse has been a game-changer for my wrist and hand comfort. As someone who spends hours on the computer daily, I was starting to experience discomfort and strain. However, since using this vertical mouse, I've noticed a significant reduction in wrist pain. The design is not only ergonomic but also sleek and stylish. It fits perfectly in my hand, allowing for a more natural and relaxed grip. The buttons are responsive and easy to click, and the scroll wheel is smooth. Another impressive feature is the customizable DPI settings, which let me adjust the sensitivity to my preference. Whether I'm working on detailed design projects or browsing the web, this mouse adapts effortlessly. The wireless connectivity works flawlessly, and the battery life is impressive. I appreciate the convenience of not having to worry about constantly changing batteries. In short, the HP 920 Ergonomic Vertical Mouse is a must-have for anyone seeking comfort during long hours of computer use. It's improved my overall computing experience, and I can't recommend it enough. Say goodbye to wrist discomfort and hello to ergonomic bliss!

Beats the Logitech Vertical
I like that it didn't immediately crap out like the previous two Logitech Vertical mice that I purchased. This mouse was working great. Ten months in the scroll wheel has pretty much stopped working properly, so that's irritating. I can still force scroll, but it's a real hassle as it's jumpy and annoying. I checked and this mouse is now out of warranty - yay. Other people have reported the same problem, so it's not uncommon and as usual the support folks are useless as they give all kinds of really unhelpful advice to solve what is very obviously a mechanical defect. At least the left click didn't stop working like the Logitech Vertical or just go completely dead like the Logitech Vertical. Would be nice if they could resolve the scroll wheel issue, make it more solid - this thing isn't cheap guys.

HP refused to exchange my defective mouse...
The product I received has a defect of some kind. Out of the blue the phantom clicks started coming through on my computer. Once this started it quickly got to the point where my computer would freeze due to all the phantom clicks. Normally before I write a negative review for a product I recieved defective I will seek to have my product replaced with a new, non-defective product. However HP, for some bizarre reason, refused to allow me the option to replace my defective mouse with a new one of the same type. This is the first time in my 15 years of purchasing from Amazon where a vendor just straight up refused to swap out a defective product. The only thing I can think of as to why I was not given this option is because I bought the mouse on sale for $60 and they are now charging $90+ for it. It's a shame because I really liked this mouse. It felt premium and had a good heft to it. The connection via the dongle was pretty snappy and the mouse was accurate. It also had a third button you could remap to use for many different purposes. I liked that a lot. I was really thinking this mouse was a steal at the sale price I got it and definitely is worth its normal $90+ dollar price. But HP refused to replace it so I can only review the mouse I was given and that mouse broke after totally normal use within 3 weeks of receipt. The one star is less for the mouse more a rating on HP. I cannot recommend anyone get this mouse at any price as I cannot rule out that my defective mouse isn't a sign of a problem with it manufacture. If that is the case, then expect early failure. But HP really dropped the ball here for me as a customer. I just wanted a working mouse and was loving the one 920 up until this. It shows just how little they value the customer and this will make me weary of buying any HP products in the future. Funny enough, Amazon did allow me to exchange my defective 920 for a Logitech Lift mouse. This mouse I have used before and loved and guess I should have just bought this from the start.

Super honest review here from a PC mouse enthusiast
Super honest review here from a PC mouse enthusiast. I was really excited to get this mouse and looking for a potential upgrade from a Logitech vertical mouse. Pros: USB-C rechargeable. I personally like the size and weight. Smooth glide when in movement. Great ergonomics. I feel the overall shape of the device is a lot better than other vertical mice I’ve tested. The middle mouse (scroll wheel) click does not take a lot of pressure to actuate. I see this as a good thing because most mice require too much force to press that button. Cons: The scroll wheel is terrible. It is very loose and has a lot of wiggle room in all directions before it actuates. This alone is almost a deal breaker for me. The Right-Click button is more narrow than the Left-Click button for some reason. I often end up pressing on the dongle cover when thinking I’m pressing the Right-Click. Auditory variations. Every individual button/switch on the device has it’s own unique sound when it’s actuated. They all sounds completely different from one another. It drives me crazy. Why why why would someone on the design team at HP think this was a good idea. The dongle cover also sits loose and rattles when moving around the mouse. Cheap plastic feel. Either of the Logitech vertical mice feels way more premium. This mouse has two different surfaces. One is smooth, and the other is textured. The smooth surface is a magnet for fingerprints or any oils that from hands. For the parts of the mouse where these two surfaces meet, it is not flush/level. The additional button that is on the opposite side of your thumb from the Back/Forward buttons… you know, at first I wasn’t ever sure if it was a button because of how hard I needed to press it. This button requires more force to push than any button on any mouse I’ve EVER used. It nearly unusable. Seriously. Price. For everything I just mentioned, I would expect a mouse like this to cost around $40 or less. Not $100. $100 is far too high for something with this many cons. Neutral: The Back and Forward side buttons are easy to press, but their layout is not typical. You get used to it quickly. Conclusion: The box is the most premium thing about this mouse. I don’t know how this mouse got through product testing at HP. The developers/designers either didn’t want to listen to the feedback from the testers, or the testers need a new job. I had really high hopes for this mouse, but it did not deliver. If this mouse eventually gets down below $50 in price, I’d say it could be worth it for the ergonomics. In the meantime, I’m going back to using Logitech.

An improvement over traditional mouse
I bought this verticle mouse to replace my traditional logitech laser mouse, as sometimes i do get fatigue using it The pros: -very comfortable to use -buttons layout seems to be within reach of the fingers -comes in nice packaging -quality build seems to be good overall The cons: -it might take abit to get used to make precise and fast movements. ‘Easy to get do and hard to master’ situation -scroll wheel has some play to it, could be better I accidently dropped the mouse from my desk onto hardwood floor twice and it doesnt to damage the mouse externally or internally…so i guess that passed my drop test :) Overall, i have been using this for about a week on a daily basis and so far, its going well Will post an update after 6 months of usage, but currently it gets 5/5 stars from me

Disposable product
For the price of this mouse, I didn’t expect it to break so soon after purchase. The scroll wheel now skips constantly and has become completely unusable. I tried cleaning it thoroughly and tested it on multiple computers—the result was the same: it’s broken. It’s really disappointing to see such low-quality products that are essentially disposable these days. I’ve never had this issue before, even with old mice I’ve used for 25 years. If you’re looking for a reliable, quality mouse that won’t fail within a year under light use, I recommend looking elsewhere!
