Triple Strength with Vitamin D Glucosamine Chondroitin Joint Health Supplement, Coated Tablets, Red, 120 Count

Very good product to help with my joint pain.

I quit taking a Costco brand Chondroitin and Glucosamine supplement and two weeks later my knees ached. I looked around for a price competitive alternative that could be delivered along with my other Amazon stuff and decided to try this product. A week later my knees quit grumbling. Placebo effect? Maybe. Most people claim to get relief from patent medicines supporting the notion that "relief depends on belief." But I think these things work, so I'll stick with this product for a while. Update 02/05/26: Went back to Costco brand because I felt no difference between products. Then, cut out wheat based stuff like pasta and sourdough, added fermenteds like daily sauerkraut and dill pickles for live biotics et voila!! Hips and knees quit aching, inflammation reduced and far fewer daily carbs. Fermented foods provide fiber, bulk and healthy gut bacteria. Do I still need C&G supplements? Time will tell.

I got this for some recurring (dare I say chronic?) knee-pain I was experiencing. I'm only 26, and I have no idea why I have this pain. Nevertheless, I do have this pain, and it's awful. It was gradually getting worse and worse, to the point that the pain was a constant throbbing in my knee all the time. I could hardly do anything to make the pain subside. I tried aleve, icy hot, you name it...nothing worked. I couldn't even find a comfortable position to sit on the couch. Nothing relieved the pain, some things just made it worse. I saw a commercial for this stuff on TV, and decided to give it a try. I figured ~$25 was a small price to pay for a comfortable knee if it worked. Well, it DOES work. I don't know how or why, but I think this stuff is pretty magical. The bottle does say you should notice a difference within 7 days, but maybe that only applies to those with less severe pain. I took it religiously, as directed until the bottle ran out. It took about two weeks for me to start noticing a reduction in pain, but after that, the pain continued to reduce until eventually I wasn't experiencing any discomfort! I can't say for sure when it happened, but one day I just woke up and realized "Hey, my knee doesn't hurt anymore!" Sadly, the bottle ran out and I couldn't afford more for a while. The pain came back with a vengeance. It didn't happen overnight, but gradually the pain returned until it was a constant throbbing again. I ordered more, and after I started taking the Osteo again, the pain is once again reducing and going away. I should probably mention that the second bottle I ordered was a different triple strength variety without the vitamin D, but still works just fine. I don't think I'm going to allow myself to run out of this stuff again! Total life saver. I highly recommend!

I get so tired of hearing people talk about how wonderful supplements and vitamins make them feel because I've bought a TON of them over the last 20 years (from store brand to expensive "specialty" brands to some purchased from places like Usana) and none of them have ever made a bit of difference. Needless to say, I was skeptical when my mom told me about this; but, because my body was so dang stiff and achy all the time, I figured I'd give it a shot. THANK GOODNESS I DID!! This is the ONLY supplement I've ever purchased that has made a difference in how I feel and it's been a HUGE difference at that! Within three days of taking my first does, I started feeling noticeably better! I'm no longer stiff, my joints aren't hurting, I can move freely - it's incredible! And honestly, as cliché as it might sound, it's been life changing. Before, when I was stiff and in pain, it made me not want to move and the inactivity just led to more stiffness and pain (not to mention, wasn't great for my mood and played a significant part in triggering/perpetuating depression). Now, I can and want to get up and get things done and participate in life which is amazing on a physical and emotional level. I really can't say enough good things about this product. Amazon has them for a great price (I first purchased mine at a drugstore for MUCH higher than they have them here and it was still worth it) and, as always, shipping is fast and convenient! If I could give this 100 stars - I would. I really hope that everyone who tries them has the same experience I did. :)

OK the actual product works for me - with the old skool "horse pill" dosage. I have not had back problems since 2009. HOWEVER!!!... If you compare the content label on this new"33% smaller" easy-to-swallow so called "Triple Strength" vs. the actual ingredient content amounts in the older product SKU: -- > While you get the same amount of Glucosamine (1500mg)... you are only getting a fraction (i.e. anywhere from 15% to 30%) of the MSM, Boswellia Serrata extract, and Chondroitin Sulfate. < ---- It depends on how you want to read the label but at best you are getting 30% of the good stuff in this new pill format. By the way, the Glucosamine is the cheapest ingredient - it's become quite common. I'm worried this is a way to sell people less actual material for more money and telling them it's "convenient". I say FIE on this shell game! : ) I hope that they don't drop the other "horsepill" sku. I can swallow those (I use chocolate smoothie to get past their size). I * could * see how for some people the large pills are simply insurmountable. In that case this product is better than doing nothing. UPDATE / REVIEW REVISION on 9/21/2013 My original review was titled "Not a good value in this format". I am revising that with a qualifier: My significant other who is a 5ft, 2" diabetic with a smaller frame and delicate constitution has trouble swallowing the LARGER version of Osteo Bi-Flex that I referred to in my earlier version of this review(i.e. NOT the 33% smaller version) of the Osteo Bi-Flex. The larger pills get stuck in her throat. Like nearly choking stuck when using the larger version. SO-o-o-o-o I am revising my review and upping this product to 3 stars. I repent. Yes, there IS a good reason for this product. IF you have a small throat or have trouble swallowing the larger "horse pills" then YES these smaller versions are better than doing nothing. I'm sure they have some effect. Since this version of Osteo Bi-Flex contains vitamin D, I would caution people from upping the dosage for any reason without consulting their doctor. UPDATE / REVIEW REVISION on 08/04/2017 BRANDING SEGMENTATION IS CLEARER Years have passed since my original review. I did some checking (Amazon and Google searches) of Osteo Bi-Flex product line. It "appears" the Osteo marketing people have decided to re-brand their smaller pill product as Osteo Bi-Flex "EASE". For the "EASE" branded version of the Osteo product it mentions that the pill size is "80% smaller". So, I take this as good news: Less branding / purchase confusion and I don't have to worry about the "Horsepill" product going away.
