Size and versatility. Review: I bought this lamp for my sewing machine area. It's a good height (tall enough to clear the machine, short enough to use the magnifying glass without having to stand up). The light is bright, and the magnifying glass is clear and crisp, for when I need to seam-rip out all my sewing mistakes....
