LAPTOP HOLDER STAND WITH 360 Degree Angle

I bought this after my laptop cooling fan failed I assume because laptop was usually straight onto knee. It arrived well packed and is so straight forward and easy to use. It sits comfortably on my knee and the laptop is snug and I can set to many comfortable viewing angles.. I was so good I bought another one for my wifes' use.

I have 3 of these now, from exact same listing on Amazon, recently bought third one for daughters laptop desk, but its not as good as the first 2, the plastic is softer and very matt, the edges are not well finished, I had to rub off bits of rough plastic along the bottom edges, disappointed but cheap enough to keep, paid £4.65, would happily pay £10 for a decent quality item like I had before.

The stand measures 26cms wide by 28cms deep, and my standard 15” Packard Bell laptop sits comfortably on the stand. The height you can raise the angle of the laptop is from the closed (flat) position of 2cms up to the maximum height of 7cms in very roughly ½ cms increments giving an angle of approximately 30 degrees at max – nice angle to work at. The lip at the front which stops the laptop from sliding off is 1½ cms deep, on my laptop it doesn’t obstruct anything, but you would need to check your own model to see if this would obstruct any usable ports. The laptop stand sits on an attached (but removable) turntable, enabling it to be rotated through 360 degrees if no wires plugged into laptop. If the turntable isn’t wanted it’s easily removed by removing the centre screw with a number 2 pozidrive screwdriver, then the stand sits on it’s four feet. However, the turntable has non-slip feet but once removed the four remaining feet aren’t non-slip. The plastic the stand is made from isn’t the best quality, but with sensible use there’s no reason why it shouldn’t last. (Ah “sensible”, there’s a word who’s practice has withered on the vine in recent times). There is good air circulation/ventilation around the underside of the laptop once in place to help keep it cool. Altogether a functional piece of equipment for very little money.

Unfortunately due to the weight of the screen of most larger laptops, this item does not work. Even with the tilt angle set at the first (lowest) stop, the weight of the screen tips my Toshiba 15" laptop over backwards as there is nothing to hold it in the front. Such a pity because the item itself is sturdy and well-made, and the seller sent it very quickly.

I think I must have received a duff one, as doesn't swivel when laptop on it (too heavy?) and one side won't stay in rachett so have to hold in place with one hand and lower laptop on to it, hoping it will stay in place with weight of laptop. But once on there my laptop is the right height to allow me to type, so I suppose that's all I needed. What can I expect for a fiver ?

Provides a good keying in angle and cools the laptop - two benefits for the very good price of one. Also lie the turntable which adds a third useful aspect. Feel product is good value for money.

The securing legs ought to snap in place. They have a habit of popping out when you lower the laptop on to the stand

Such a simple device, I would not like to be without it and so reasonably priced. Excellent.
