2nd time ordering this for Nako.. I had to get her another one because she does not like it when I have to take it from her to charge it. She doesn't understand that it has to be charged it's just the only knows that I'm taking it from her and she lets me know how she feels about it. This time when I bought the toy - it arrived quickly however the speaker would not record and I had to have it replaced. The replacement came quickly and I was able to charge it and record a message and swap the toys so that she never has to be without it. I really want to take one star away because there is only one function with this: One recording up to a minute long and that's it. You can record a message and rerecord it anytime at your leisure. It is chargeable with its included C charge cord. I can appreciate that the work that has gone into this toy for a parrot was very thoughtful. I believe it is very high quality and extremely durable with excellent material and workmanship. This product has captured every bit of a safe environment and interactive toy for your pet. I believe even the most destructive bird would not be able to damage this, not easily anyway. Nako, my African gray has been a little crazy wanting a baby. She had gotten really sick a year ago and almost lost her but after nursing her back to being better she came out of it with some bad habits and (mostly my fault) she was laying eggs and then staying on them forever and I hated to take them away but eventually I would have to do that. Recently she decided she was going to lay on a recorder that I had gotten for speech training! Right! She is crazy. When I saw this toy I thought this might cheer her up and boy did it Wow! There's no volume adjust on it either and the only way that you can control the volume is with your speech while you are recording your message so if you don't want it very loud you need to bring the voice down to it more of a whisper and if you wanted to be louder than obviously you have to put more voice into it She is the neediest bird on the planet, spoiled rotten had to be petted yes petted constantly. She has not asked once for attention loving or hugging since I gave this to her, (now I'm the one begging her to let me hold her LOL ) She loves and adores the fact that she can hear me in her cage anytime she wants with just a flick of the beak or a touch I like to believe that it keeps her company and calm while she is alone. It is a nice size stainless steel and it functions as it should. It would be nice if you could record more but obviously in this case she is content with just a little bit of talking from me. I promised her that I would record my voice in different sayings and leave them behind if something should happen to me of course lol

My bird loves this

I loved it! It arrived yesterday and I recorded right away, without even knowing how many seconds or minutes were allowed ,and it was more than I expected. It’s very sensitive to movement, so it triggers recording easily, just by moving from one side to the other. Cool. I can’t really comment on battery life yet since I’ve only just started using it. One thing I noticed: when turning it on/off, if you twist it too tightly while screwing it closed, it can accidentally press the button and turn it off, because the mechanism shifts slightly as you rotate it. If you close it gently, it doesn’t happen, but I might lightly sand it since it’s a matter of millimeters. The material is amazing, the color is beautiful, and it feels very durable. I think my macaw, James, who lives in Brazil, is going to love it. Since we’re apart, I really hope it lasts a long time and he does not distroy it!

My Green Cheek conure loves this thing! Had it for 6 weeks and it stopped working. Took it out to charge it and it will not charge. 🤬 Don’t waste your money.

My cockatiel loves this toy. It’s very durable, not too heavy nor too light, and the perfect size for my bird. My only issue is the lack of volume control and the microphone. In order to control the volume of the toy you need to control the volume of whatever you’re recording. The microphone has a static sound to it as if the gain was too high. Even recording with a pop filter in a sound treated room yields this static sound. Other than those two issues it’s a great toy to keep your bird happy when you’re working. My bird doesn’t seem to mind the static sound that you can’t get rid of, so I can’t really complain since it’s a toy for him and not me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I bought this recording toy for my African grey parrot. Both my husband and I recorded our voices talking to the bird on it. As soon as I put it in her cage she went over to it. She touches it and it plays the recorded message. She loves it. It’s a good quality product and very safe for the bird. The color I bought is a light blue and African grey parrot’s are usually scared of new things but she was not scared of this. I think because it is a light silver blue color that’s pleasing to look at. My bird is mesmerized by the recorded message on it. Although it is a bit pricey it is definitely worth it . I recommend this bird toy for anyone who wants a unique bird toy.

Bird talker quality and effective

I have recorded a long clip of me talking but I think my birb is gonna need psychiatric support as it keeps going off every 5 seconds with little movement 😂😂😂. At first I set it in a different location and my birb started to investigate it! I think it depends where you hang it will adjust the sensitivity! It's soo funny 😂 Great little gadget and solidly built. Happy with purchase and quick delivery from the USA.

Installed this for over 4 months now and battery is still lasting. My quaker parrot loves it and uses it when he wants to get my attention. Highly recommend
