Meat was excellent!

Excellent taste and very tender meat!!!

Writing this review even though Amazon did right by me and refunded my entire order. HOWEVER, I’m compelled to post this in the hopes that someone out there will read this and never buy this product and in the hopes that Grumpy butcher will improve its product. 1. The steaks were insanely overpriced relative to the quality of beef that I got. What I should have gotten was the 2% of USDA steak. I got the bottom 2% quality steak. 2. If they were flask frozen, then why did they show up as a sloppy bloody grisseley mess. By the time I washed all the slime and blood off of the steak I was left with the mushiest off-cut of beef I’ve ever seen. Irony is it was so mushy you’d think it would cook up tender. Nope. Opposite. 3. When cooked to a medium rare, it was almost inedible it was so tough to chew. Zero taste, zero texture other than tough grissle and fat. 4. Finally, I licked this up less than an hour after delivery and it was thawed through. No dry ice, just two gel packs. Again, Amazon gave me a refund, kudos, but this product is the absolute worst. I should have known better based on the brand name Grumpy Butcher.

Excellent taste, flavor, tenderness and consistency both times that I ordered them. Very pleased! However, Dry ice had completely evaporated by the time that both of the steak deliveries were made; causing the steaks to be off ice for a very long periods of time. This could have caused spoilage to very expensive steaks. Luckily, they were still frozen. A delivery of perishable and very expensive food items such as these should have been scheduled for delivery first thing in the beginning of the day while they were on dry ice and still protected. I hope that The Grumpy Butcher takes step to remedy this immediately!! If so, I may buy more! Thanks!

Disappointing, half the steaks were no longer frozen solid and this is winter time in Atlanta. Had to make them the next day. Nothing special about the meat, had better will not reorder.
