AUBE TH232 Thermostat for Electric Underfloor Heating

Super replacement for my old TH231 which lasted 13 years before starting to fail. New model is a direct replacement so wiring is easy and it has been upgraded with a backlight which makes reading easy. Replaced the old one in 15 minutes - dead easy and works a treat. We now have a warm conservatory and my wife is happy - what''s not to like!

Brilliant bit of kit - improved from my faulty 8 year old model which it replaced directly. Has some fault codes now which would have been helpful in diagnosing the problem. Also has an off switch (as opposed to just turning down the temperature requirement) when you don't want it coming on. Easy to install as a replacement (but don't mess if you don't understand electricity), and set up. The early start function is now programmable rather than using switches accessed on rear. (This is a sophisticated function.)

I bought several of these and am reasonably happy with them. Good points are: they work, they are quite easy to install, they fit a standard socket and they are reasonably priced. Plus they are SO much better than what I had before. Negative points: the display is pretty small and it's not at all easy to see whether it's on or off. Might the manufacturer have included a small telltale LED light so one could see ON/OFF from afar, without having to get down on hands and knees with a magnifying glass?

A solid, capable unit, this thermostat offers precise control over the floor temperature, looks very neat too... Installation was straightforward enough, and the interface is clear... It feels well-built, though I ultimately ordered the wrong type for my specific heating system, so I’m returning it... Definitely not a reflection on the quality, which seems excellent... Just ensure you check compatibility before purchasing... A good choice if it fits your setup. As a replacement, damn good price...

I first bought that cheap manual controller that lots of people sell. The dial to adjust the temperature fell off and wouldn't stay on. So I sent it back and bought this controller. You really do get what you pay for. I liked the fact that it had so many good reviews. This controller works great. I had no issues installing it and I strongly recommend this product.

As a replacement for long-serving original, it is excellent. The fiddly bits arose from the less than optimal primary installation in a cavity wall with short tails! It arrived promptly, well packed and I am delighted with its performance: strongly recommended. It was quite a lot more expensive than another supplier but A national shortage of units was going to add a at least 6 eeejs delay that was prevented by this delivery do it was worth it!

My old TH132, installed 14 years ago developed a problem whereby the display screen would just go blank when the floor heating came on. The heating still worked though. I replaced the old TH132 with the latest TH232, simple rewiring job and now the display works as it should, no blank screen. Successful and simple exercise.

Improvement on its forerunner, easy to use and install, not the cheapest on the market.
