I had no issues connecting them to the system. The DVR is really ideal for a business or commercial setting with the large number of channels available. It would have been nice to have some kind of hard drive included, but not a deal breaker. It is capable of holding up to 10TB which is nice. The app is not as good as other security system apps I have used, but it works as it should. It was a breeze to set up but if you're not the kind of person who sets up elaborate security systems for the fun of it you might want to contact a professional. Once you're set up there's so many cool things you can do I don't even know where to start. It has face detection, face recognition, can distinguish between human and motor vehicle shapes, etc. etc. etc. The accompanying app lets you watch live, search video, etc. The video quality and audio is excellent. This might be overkill for a home user but if you've got a somewhat elaborate setup this is essential.
