Pink Floyd's ninth studio album, it topped the album charts in both the UK and US when released in 1975. Reflecting the band's thoughts of the time on the music business and exploring themes of absence, 'Wish You Were Here' contains the classic cut 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond', a tribute to founder member Syd Barrett, as well as the title track, considered one of Pink Floyd's greatest and most popular songs. Review: Very high quality pressing and remaster. - Excellent silent pressing of a fantastic poignant album. The remaster here for me brings a lot more to the table than my original. Instrument separation and positioning is very good, greater detail from the backing instruments. I heard a lot more going on, especially the acoustic guitars. Stereo image is very wide, well past the speakers, and really good deep but controlled bass. The album is one of of my favourite by PF, and this makes it so much more immersive, especially because of the tribute to Syd. Highly recommended. Review: Better than DSOTM - Better than dsotm.
