Yes, initially during the product launch in November 2021, there were some bugs that were causing issues with gameplay. Those have been fixed & the app is stable now. You can try it out worry-free since there's a return policy and 1 year warranty on the product.

Question 4

I gave three of these pro boards as christmas gifts, and all are glitchy. moves dont always register, or the board doesnt accept a valid move. help!?

First off, it is important to remember that there are sensors in each square that recognize each move. Often when playing speed chess on a wooden or latex board it becomes habit to smack pieces down on the squares. Sometimes this interferes with move recognition. Also, whenever I have experienced similar problems, I have come to the realization that it was always the result of some sort of mistake on my part. Often faulty placement of pieces. Also, when using the ‘takeback’ feature, it is important to replace any captured pieces as per the flashing lights on the capture square. This also applies to ‘en passant’ captures. Often as well, it can be the result of trying to make an illegal move such as not noticing that your king is in check or is moving into check. Try replaying the game from the beginning to see if it becomes clear exactly what happened. When I do this I have always found it was my error of some sort (so far at any rate). Being a well tested electronic device I doubt that it makes mistakes. I have played hundreds of games with mine and have not had an issue that was not explainable. Also, the chance of purchasing several defective boards is highly improbable. I hope this is of some help my fellow ‘Square Offer’. Greg
