Scoring Knife - Cuts Tile Backer Boards

Purchased to cut Hardie Backer boards and does the job well.

Had to make several more passes through the cement board than expected and more than on the instruction videos available on the internet. It does work eventually

The whole point of these boards is to prevent in ingress of water behind the tiled surface in showers and wet areas. If it leaves a rough edge it's not going to be any good at this job. Sealing a straight neat edge is much easier and much more effective. I gave this board four passes with strong pressure, it might be better if you also scored the other side but this would be too time consuming for a professional so as a professional I've gone back to using a mini grinder with a thin tile blade.
