UPDATE* The seller offered a replacement or a refund so everything is good now, would recommend seller top customer service The landing pad seemed to be good, of a good build and qualityand I like the double sided thing as well with the reflective tape for nigjt landing etc. But after having the pad for a few weeks and only using it less than a handful of times the landing pad is coming apart and you can see the inner material/mat. I have only used this on fairly short dry grass and there is no reason why this landing pad should suddenly fall apart other then shoddy work man ship and build quality, very dis appointed with this would be a no star review but Amazon doesn't allow that option

OK, this is far, far superior to those "Peg down" flappy things. Seriously heavy for what they are, it easily keeps the longest grass flat. Even in the wind, it stays put under its own weight. Far easier to carry in your bag and no flaffing about trying to pack it up and put it away afterwards. ALWAYS creates a flat space on gravel and grass. BRILLIANT IDEA.

I have a DJI Mini 2 SE and in common with the sub 250g category drones, the delicate 2.7K camera (mounted on a 3-axis gimbal) is very close to the ground on landing (too close!). This mat gives me the confidence to land my camera drone without too much worry. I'm a novice drone pilot but I've now discovered, from experience, that on windy days I would now prefer a slightly bigger mat if one were available. This mat folds down to a convenient size and is well made.
