Is the ice easy to release from the ice tray?

Yes, all you have to do once the water is frozen, flip the tray over the ice bin and put the colored lid on top and push down! Very simple!

How big are the ice cubes?

The cubes are a little bit smaller than the bags of ice u can buy in stores that are square size.

Can I put the finished ice cubes in the storage bin and then make a new batch of ice cubes?

That's exactly what you do! I actually had emptied the trays in the bin and refilled them, putting them on top of the bin in my freezer just before answering this!
