An outstanding book, providing numerous questions, allowing for further practice outside of the TSA past papers. The essay section provided a detailed breakdown as to how to approach essays, with different example essays reflecting strengths, weaknesses and possible improvements. This was particularly helpful, as it gave me a concise structure to follow and I used the example essays as a basis to critique my own essays. However, one criticism of the book relates to the critical thinking questions provided, with several questions not reflecting the difficulty of the real exam paper. Apart from that, it is a must have!

Definitely worth all the Cost! While the book briefly mentions the basic principles of what constitutes an argument (conclusion, flaw, assumption, principle, how to match arguments, problem solve) and how to write coherent essays, the book is essentially an EXCELLENT WORKBOOK FOR PRACTICE. This book comes highly recommended. Improved my scores from 45% at the beginning, to 75%. Much thanks to the author. Note: If you want to learn critical thinking in more detail, I suggest you consult Butterworth's book on critical thinking.

It was really helpful in that it had so many practise questions, which is especially helpful if you’ve finished all the tsa past papers. If there was a book for just section 1 that would be super helpful too!

This is book is so useful because it has tips for each section and then tons of questions. I feel that the best way to prepare for this is to practice and that is exactly what this book gives me. It also has 3 essays, each with annotations on what was good and could have been improved which is so good for helping me structure mine. Overall, I highly recommend this book.

This book is definitely worth the money- not only is it comprehensive, but also challenging and provides a great range of questions for students to work through- it is worth recommending to others! It is very easy to understand and the questions are stimulating- would purchase different books from the authors again!

This book offers a really broad range of practice questions. The worked solutions are explained as though the author is also solving the questions under time pressure, making it a useful resource for time-saving techniques. The essay is explored in superb detail too. Thoroughly recommend.

This is a great practice book for the TSA. Does the job well. However, I was surprised to find that a large proportion of it is carbon-copy identical of another one of their books, "The BMAT collection". All things considered, it is worth buying this book!

I got the book recommended to me by a friend and am very pleased. Covers a wide range of questions, explaining how to answer them if you're unsure of how to approach the test. A must for prospective Oxford applicants.

This book helped me a lot in preparing for the TSA. The answers to the questions are well explained and it includes tips on every individual question type. However, it is sometimes a struggle to use it as an e-book as you have to keep swapping between the question and answer pages. So for everyone who is not used to e-books, I suggest getting the paperback version.

This book has become a lifesaver as a teacher for the AICE Thinking Skills assessment. Many of the problem-solving examples have helped tremendously in preparing my students. With most teaching resources for the AICE Thinking Skills Exam not useful, I found this book to be invaluable. I was able to pick and choose problem-solving questions, associated with the content that we were on to utilize and allow my student's extra practice before taking a quiz. The Critical Thinking examples again, allowed extra practice for my students to use and apply for the upcoming exam. Thank you for providing an excellent resource!

Very helpful and thorough! It really made a difference in my studying experience as there are very few similar resources. I found it much more helpful than past papers since every question is carefully explained at the end and it also includes useful advice and examples for section 2.

I like the ebook version 1. it is much more cost effective, only 20% of paper book 2. it is delivered instantly. 3. it can be stored and reaccess via Amazon online portable, or Kindle Cloud.
