I have two bikes with separate D-Locks. One is Kryptonite, the other is ‘inferior’ but still not cheap. When the holder on the inferior one broke I found I couldn’t get a replacement. However this Kryptonite kit can be adapted for other D-Locks, solving my problem, and is vastly cheaper than a whole new lock. This would also be very handy if you have more than one bike and want to share a single lock between them.

Been using this product for 4 years now. It has served me well so far but the product has started to weaken and I need to occasionally tighten it otherwise it becomes loose. Otherwise no complaints.

I’ve had a Kryptonite lock with this type of bracket for a few years and it’s been fine. I needed this one so that I could transfer my lock between bikes. In the pack there is a little slip stuck to one of the parts with a QR code that you can use to access installation instructions. These are pretty good but if you do an internet search for ‘Kryptonite Transit FlexFrame-U Bracket Installation’ you’ll find a useful video. The principle of how the bracket holds on to the frame is quite simple, but if you approached the set of parts in the pack intuitively without accessing instructions or a video you might be a bit flummoxed. My lock is a ‘Kryptonite Kryptolok Standard Bicycle U-Lock’. By the time you’ve allowed space to lift the lock out of the bracket the choice of position within the bike frame is quite limited. I don’t mind that I don’t have space for a water bottle cage but if that is a concern you can fit it in various offset positions so that it sits outside the frame rather than within it

Easy to fit

I bought this as a mount for a second bike (I have the original Kryptionite mount that came with the Kryptonite lock on another bike) - this was to allow me to take the lock with me, whichever bike I was using. The fitting where the lock clicks into the mount was too tight. When trying to release the lock from the mount , I had to use so much force that the mount starting working loose from the bike frame and the rubber mount strap parted under the pressure. I eventually had to use a rubber mallet to free the lock from the mount. - it is clearly not exactly the same spec as the one that came with the original lock. Wasted money...

Worked perfectly with my existing Krptolok so that I can swap it between 2 bikes. Fitting took seconds and very secure fit.

I bought this as a replacement as I damaged the one that came with the lock as I over-tightened it and had to cut the strap to free it. I think the design could be better. It seems to be very fiddly and delicate. The lock is great, so I shall put up with a not-so-great bracket.

Easy to install and feels sturdy. Worked with my Kryptonite Series 2 lock (despite other reviewers saying it doesn’t). Probably a bit overpriced but ultimately doesn’t the job!

El producto funciona perfecto para mí candado tipo u vía velo que trae un soporte de baja calidad. En cambio este Kryptonite es un gran producto, se ve bien y NO VIBRA ni HACE RUIDOS al vibrar con mi scooter en terrenos sinuosos, tampoco se desprende ni se cae por las fuertes vibraciones. Super fácil de instalar. Vale la pena cada centavo invertido. 👍

Does the job perfectly

Die Halterung sitzt fest am Rahmen und ist recht solide. Die Montage ist allerdings recht schwierig und ein echtes Geduldspiel. Mein technisch begabter Kumpel hat ca. 30 Minuten gebraucht um die Halterung am Fahrrad anzubringen. Das Gummiband muss gekürzt werden. Die Schraube in die untere Befestigung zu bekommen erfordert viel Fingerspitzengefühl und noch mehr Geduld. Die Halterung ist klasse und passt auch für breitere Rahmen von E-Bikes. Nur die Montage ist nicht so toll.
