## Questions & Answers

**Q: The loupe advertises as 2.5x, 8" focal.  Does that mean it has to be used with that visor lens only.  Or, can I buy any diopter rating and use it.**
A: I am not really very knowledgeable about the magnifying lenses.  I think the lens for the visor comes in different powers.  I am not sure if the loupe comes in different powers.  I think the loupe can be used with any visor lens.  I thought you might be able to use a loupe for each eye (as in another answer: it is not binocular), but you can't.  I can use my loupe by itself, but it must be closer than 8" from my work.  I use mine with a number 5 visor lens.  Hope this helps!

**Q: Is the OptiLoupe made of glass or plastic?**
A: The description says acrylic lens - that is plastic.

**Q: Can the loupe be easily adapted to work with the LED lights?**
A: I was never able to get my loupe to attach.  It wasn't the lights that were the problem however.

**Q: The nuts that hold the magnifier to the lens came off (bad design) and were lost.  We looked for hours.  Can you supply replacements?**
A: This screw and nut to hold the optical plate to the headset is a standard 6-32 x 3/8". Since you had trouble with them I would recommend getting 6-32 x 1/2" screws and using nylock nuts on them.
