As someone who doesn't know how to sew I thought using this product might be an easy solution for some of my crafts and for the most part it was. Even without experience I was able to use the product and while it may not have been the prettiest due to my lack of skill it seemed to do the trick just fine and was able to suit my needs. It takes a little practice to work properly but it even worked through some thin leather straps I was using. Overall a decent alternative for people who want to get into crafts without the needing to learn to sew.

The kit comes with a huge assortment of eyelets and washers, which makes it perfect for multiple projects without worrying about running out anytime soon. The pliers feel sturdy and comfortable in the hand, and once you get the hang of lining everything up, the grommets press cleanly and securely. I have several vintage 3 ring binder type photo albums. Everything is digital these days but there is nothing better than flipping through an old photo album with real photographs. Over the years, numerous pages in the album have torn or come loose at the three holes that keep them in the binder. I bought this lightweight rivet/grommet tool to see if I could reinforce the worn/torn holes in the album pages. It worked like a charm.

Grommet setter is great, but the punch was not sharp enough. I could not punch through scrim vinyl with it and had to use a hand held hole punch (intended for paper) instead.

Needed to put rivets on cheap plastic table clothes for a project and worked well for what I wanted even though it said not for plastic

Solidly made with plenty of eyelets for use. The hole punch is a bit fiddly but, overall a very useful tool for binding documents. securely.
