To put the case on the deck, you have to contort it in ways that seem frankly unsafe. The also isn't entirely uniform and leaves small gaps between it and the plastic of the deck, and the front cover, while a welcome addition, blocks access to the ports while used as well as chokes the fan in the event that you leave the computer on. If the power button, Type-C port and fan vent were accessible with a newly designed cover installed, I'd definitely purchase that so I could still use the deck with a dock. For now, this is still a good product, just a little rough around the edges. It's inexpensive, however, so you can't ask for too much.

Thin, light, great grip. Snap on cover appears to protect the screen and controls well...all while not adding significant wait or bulk.

The original case the steam deck comes with is great but a bit bulky. Traveling with the steam deck is a lot easier with this case since it takes up way less room. I have zero fears of my steam deck getting damaged even just chucking it into a bag/backpack.

For 18$ you’re definitely getting what you pay for, as others have noted there is a slight gap right on the plastic that’s above the RB and LB buttons, for me it felt un natural to play with, having to lift your finger over that large space to reach the button, I’ll probably toss this and wait for the kill switch to restock 🤞🏼

Was looking for a case that would also protect my screen, and aside from the unreleased modcase and dbrands much more expensive option, this is pretty much it. The case protector is a very stiff TPU, that adds a ton of girth to the deck and makes it feel bulky. Not very grippy but it does seem sturdy. The kickstand mechanism has a plastic tab lock that I'm sure will snap after some repeated use. Finally the top case is hard ABS type plastic, the edges are a bit rough and snapping it on the deck is pretty jarring, I could see it scratching the lower part after repeated use since you really need to use force to get it to latch on. I ordered a simpler case that cost much less, and its way better, Ill continue using the OEM case in the mean time.

The case does its job, I would like to have an orifice in the cover to charge the deck without removing it

It's not an exact fit and when I pushed it, it got weird feeling to hold my steam deck and don't get me started with the protection cover, it scratches the screen like it was designed to destroy it repeatedly, stay away from such designs an stick to vinyl stickers and screen protectors
