Much improved over the previous generation, love that it stands on its own
I've tried a few soft bottles because there's a lot of appeal for camping and traveling - lightweight and doesn't take a lot of space, and sometimes I don't want to deal a hydration bladder. They've all had issues - nalgene's would fall over due to the large wide mouth cap, platypus's were impossible to dry, and so on. Found an older model of the hydrapak flux that I loved for camping and traveling - super easy to pack, came in at least 32 oz, stood up on it's own, and was easier to clean and dry. Didn't super love the twist cap as it didn't release air so it would eventually flop over as you drank, and the mouthpiece was exposed. After the wife made me carry her double walled bottle during skiing, I bought her bottle, and I feel it's been improved in every way. It's wider so there's a more stable base, they added a flip cap, and now when you untwist, it lets air escape so the bottle will expand back to it's normal shape. They added clear plastic on the top so it's easier to see how much liquid is left, and the cap prevents leakage while still in the open twisted position. The loop is longer which makes it easier to roll up as in the pictures, but it's still kind of a pain, so I rarely do it. I'm undecided whether to just steal my wife's bottle, or buy a second one for myself. I still use hard bottles for sizes about 32 oz as I'm unsure of the sturdiness of the larger sizes, but this has become my go to whenever I want to take some water out of the house.

Compact and holds shape
This collapsing water bottle has changed the game. I use this when running and what is so great about it is that the bottle will hold its shape no matter how much water is in there. And if you want to make it smaller or collapse then all you have to do is twist the top and squeeze some of the air out and it will hold to the shape that you desire. Now you don’t have to lug around an empty container once you finish it. It folds up neatly and fits in a bag saving space.

Good Backpacking bottles
Lightweight, collapsible bottles. I just used them on a 3 day backpack trip and really liked how the 46mm mouth adapts to my BeFree filter. This system made water management much easier. Two minor issues to be aware of… rinse multiple times before use to reduce nasty plastic taste, which is not a concern with Nalgene bottles. Secondly, because they are collapsible, they have a tendency to tip over especially when empty and your hands are being used to fill them from a water filter.

So convenient!
This water bottle is awesome. My boyfriend accidentally forgets a water bottle all the time when we go to the gym. He stashed this in his (small!) cross body gym bag thingie and now he always has one on hand. It comes in handy all the time. I can see how this would be really helpful when we go to the airport or camping or... really so many applications for this great bottle! We've been using this thing for like 5 months or so now, a couple days/week and so far no leaks or issues with quality. Obviously it's "packable" meaning the actual container itself is floppy so it can fold/roll up. Just adding that part in case people are thinking this is hard sided and it somehow collapses in a different way. Just so you know what to expect, when this is full it takes a water-bottle-like form and is pretty easy to hold (and kinda put in the treadmill's cup holder for the most part). When it's less full, obviously it's kinda top heavy and floppy, haha. Hope that explanation makes sense!

Used 2 at universal studios
These worked great at universal studios. They have free ice and water fill up. They do have a slight taste like your drinking out of a garden hose. But I also used it with a nuun tablet and the taste was gone. I also really liked the valve. It was easy to use and didn't spill. The fit in my cargo shorts, and I was able to carry in my belt. Definitely would recommend these.

Decent bottle with downsides
I hoped this bottle would be a more durable alternative to other packable bottles I’ve had, and while it is durable and packable, it has some significant downsides. It took weeks of use and washing to get it to a place where the water didn’t taste like silicone even just minutes after filling it. It still has a faint taste now but has gone down a lot, so I’m hopeful it will go away eventually. The seal is so tight on the top (great for preventing spills whether the top is open or not) that you have to squeeze it really hard to get water out and the bottle does not fill with air again after use. The only way to get the bottle to retain its shape is to open it fully again which is cumbersome to do and spill-prone.

Perfect for Katadyn BeFree filter
I bought this to replace the floppy, thin pouch that comes with the Katadyn BeFree filter. I hated having to scrunch up that pouch with two hands once it was less than half full. It also didn’t work well in the bottle pouch on the side of a backpack. This works perfectly. It’s thicker and seems more durable as well. Time will tell if the durability holds up to hiking and backpacking. I’ll update this review if it punctures or springs a leak at the seams. The rubber strap at the top seems strong enough to hang the bottle from when full. I bought the 1L because I was worried that the 1.5L would be too floppy to put in the side pocket of a pack or that it wouldn’t stand up on its own when full, but this 1L is pretty sturdy so I kinda wish I had gone with the 1.5L. I might still pick up the bigger one after I try this one for a bit. I included a picture of the 1L bottle next to a standard Blender Bottle shaker for reference.

Turns good tasting water into gross tasting water
I clean these after every use. Regardless of that step, these water bottles have the magical ability to turn perfectly clean tasting water into gross, sharp, plastic tasting toilet water. I've tried citric acid and other things to get the aftertaste out of them and nothing works. Nothing else about these bottles matter if the water stored in them becomes instantly undrinkable.

J'adore
J'adore hydrapak.

Brilliant
Love it. Used it with my Sawyer Squeeze water filter and works a treat. Pricey gear but worth it rather than the ones that come with the Sawyer.

Useful and convenient
This is my 2nd piece. Left my 1st bottle on a trolley and am glad I manage to buy this at a discounted price. It’s easy to use and can be folded when you’re finished with the liquids. Quite easy to clean with a brush. 1 litre works for me but there’re diff volume if you need more or less.

Packable and convenient
This is my second Hydrapak Flux. I liked my first one so much that I bought a spare. I use my Hyrdapak Flux for general hydration and cross country skiing. It conforms well to whatever pack I’m using and doesn’t leak, even if it tips over while the valve is open. Handles warm and very cold weather well. The one litre volume is just right for maintaining hydration during an hour or two of outdoor activity (more than that is CamelBak time). Best cleaned after use… some buildup if certain energy drinks aren’t completely flushed and allowed to sit overnight. Bottle Bright or a soft brush about once a month keeps things in peak form though.
