To those who are familiar with Mahjong, regardless of Chinese, American, Japanese or whatever rule sets, look at the markings for the Seat Winds: notice that they follow the directions of an actual compass. Anyone who knows anything about Mahjong knows that the Seat Wind order is East, South, West, North. The layout of Seat Winds on this table's mat makes it impossible for proper seating when playing Mahjong.All you need to do is look at the image. One of the most clearly seen symbols is that for North(北). You will then see that the Dealer, East(東), is to the *left* of North. East should be to the *right* of North. On this particular mat, East and West are correct, but North and South are flipped, reflecting real-life compass directions, but *not* reflecting Mahjong Seat Winds.You could argue that I'm being dramatic and that this can easily be fixed in a pinch. All I'm saying is that there shouldn't have been a need to fix it in the first place, let alone by the consumer.It really is a shame, too. Because otherwise this looks like a very nice and convenient playing table! I love the core design philosophy!
