A Box Of Dreams

As a huge Enya fan, I was excited for this release and pre-ordered mine far in advance. This is a great box set and I love the vinyl color and album art. The pink, green, and gold vinyls are stunningly beautiful, and it's nice to have a lot of personal notes from Enya and her team on the sleeves. But, if I'm being completely honest, I do wish this was a hi-fidelity release. I know there's a lot of music to compact on these, so they were limited by size. An unfortunate consequence is that it sacrifices sound quality. I learned that you really have to turn up the treble in order to get some upper-range dynamics and clarity out of it. I know that unless you're going to have 2x3 times the amount of vinyls (at 2-3 times the cost), it wouldn't be feasible as a release. So, as a music guy, I do understand that you are simply limited by how much music you can fit. So, there's no one to really blame here. It's just a natural consequence of vinyl albums. You either have fewer songs at hi-fi quality, or you have more songs at lower quality. And since this is a direct re-release of several albums (of which have never been pressed on vinyl before), your stuck with how much space you have to work with. Nevertheless, I'm still extremely happy with this set. Could it be better? Maybe. But for the price and the rarity, it's truly unbeatable!

I recently listened to this great record collection recently and I will say that ENYA: A BOX OF DREAMS is one of the best record collections I've gotten. It has tracks that are not on Enya's Best Of CD Collection which is a nice surprise. I wish the box album cover had a little graphics or artwork or there was a booklet included with Enya's discography. Instead, it's just a black box with some nice calligraphy as the title. Still, a collector's item for any Enya fan.

Couldn't ask for a more beautiful box set. The paper is all matte finish. The vinyl disks are all different soft colors which is a great added bonus I wasn't aware of when I got it. I was thinking the outer box might have silver foil but it doesn't. The graphic presentation is a work of fine art and of course, the music is perfect to get into a zen mood. Highly recommend.

nice 6 coloured lp vinyl box

I am a huge Enya fan and was looking forward to a good experience with this box set. While the packaging is first rate and the vinyl acceptably quiet, ALL of the LP's have warp. For the amount of money we pay for these releases, this is disappointing. As with all vinyl purchases, it's a roll of the dice. This result of this one was snake eyes. When running $500 cartridges, the risk is not worth damaging it. So I will order a replacement but usually end up with the same issue.

The music is the music and I will not make any attempt to discuss it. In 1997, WEA released this set as a cd box and it has been reissued according to Discogs 9 different times over the last 36 years. As of 2023, we finally get to hear the music for the first time on vinyl thanks to the folks at Rhino and Warner Brothers. If you are seeking a best of Enya on vinyl in beautiful packaging this is it. The clarity and care is evident but so is the price. Fortunately I was able to buy the set on a special sale day when it was 30% off so the price of 6 limited edition 180 gram records or three albums and a box was reasonable.

I am ecstatic that this collection is available on vinyl. The records play beautifully, and the collection is all the familiar songs I grew up loving and listening to. My only concern would be the packaging of the individual vinyl - the sleeves are a little weak and not very protective of the vinyl. Within the box, they are relatively protected. I believe they chose a recycled material for the sleeves and the box, and I love that - just wish the sleeves had been beefed up or made a little thicker.

This is a wonderful compilation album, so it kind of pains me to give this product a middling review. The reason why: one of the discs in this set is warped to the point where it negatively affects playability and can also jeopardize the stylus, which in my case isn't cheap, being a microline stylus for a Shure V15 Type III pickup. I want an exchange for the same exact replacement, but Amazon won't permit it because I purchased this set when it was on sale. Since this set is not on sale at the time of this review, the credit from the return cannot cover the price of the set for the exchange. That forces me to return the item for a refund instead, which is rather disappointing. I suppose the upside is that I do get my money back, but still.

Para quien le guste Enya es una joya este pack. 6 vinilos con casi todos los temas de la cantante. Los pillé por menos de 180€ y no me arrepiento en nada. Al final es una edición deluxe de 6 vinilos. Recomiendo al 100%.

Enya was part of my childhood and I listened to A Box of Dreams so many times. Nostalgic and so enchanting - I jumped on the pre-order of the vinyl as soon this was announced! All the vinyls are different earth tones of greens and marbled purples and red/burgundy. It sounds pretty good so far! Happy to have this in my collection💗 🌊☁️✨

Amazing set! There are 6 vinyls, all different colors. With poems and little messages from Enya and Nicky and Roma Ryan, fantastic issue😊 while still hoping and waiting for a new album or reissue of the “The day without rain” on vinyl, these are a perfect collection of the best of the best
