Purchased these shoulder pads to ease the strain that an Eberlestock bino chest rig places on the shoulders. Not to digress too much but Eberlestock makes some great gear. Their gear may also be quirky. Quirky manifests in way Eberlestock's newest bino rig, the "Recon Modular Harness System (RMHS)," uses very narrow straps to support what can turn into quite a bit of weight, once the RMHS is built out and loaded up. Purchased the Tactifans should straps to keep these narrow RMHS shoulder straps from digging into the shoulders. Pros: * The Tactifans 2-Pack Shoulder Straps are well-made, decent stitching, and are anticipated to provide years of service. * The 2" webbing channel easily accommodate the RMHS kit they were purchased for and could likely be opened to accommodate straps/webbing >2" wide. We measure upwards of 3" of accommodation. * The closed-foam, non-removable padding, is consistent with contemporary tactical gear and features a closed-foam insert covered with a nylon mesh. Fairly comfortable, lightweight, and provides the padding required. * Per Tactifan's own description, the heavy duty, MOLLE-type accessory attachment loops are about 1" apart. The center loop is elasticized while the end loops are a nylon weave and can serve to channel whatever you may need i.e. hydration pack straw(s), COMMS antenna/cables, etc. * Tactifan's "khaki" is color-accurate and works nicely with any associated colorway. Cons: * Not really a con but could use this pad in a 12" version. 6" is a bit too short for our purposes. * Made in China. END OF REVIEW

I have to admit, I never knew shoulder pads like these existed until recently, and they have completely transformed my experience with carrying heavy loads. These plate carrier shoulder pads have made a world of difference for me! First off, the opening hook and loop design is fantastic. It fits snugly on my shoulder straps, which are about 2 inches wide. I’ve used them with various vests and bags, including FCS, LBT, and JPC vests, as well as my backpack and even car seat belts. The hook inside the pad creates just enough friction to prevent any unwanted movement along the strap, which is a huge plus. What I love most about these shoulder pads is how lightweight and breathable they are. Made from 900D polyester with a PU coating, they are waterproof and allow for great heat dissipation. The honeycomb design really helps manage the weight I’m carrying by distributing it evenly across my shoulders. This feature not only makes carrying heavy loads much more manageable but also provides excellent shock absorption. In terms of size, these pads measure 8.5 inches long by 2.5 inches wide and weigh just 0.137 pounds, making them easy to add without adding unnecessary bulk. Another great feature is the three loops for attaching accessories. The Molle-type attachment spots are perfectly spaced at about 1 inch apart, with the center one being elastic and the end ones made of durable nylon weave. This allows me to easily access items I need on the go, which is incredibly convenient. Overall, I can’t recommend these shoulder pads enough! They’ve made carrying heavy loads a breeze and have significantly improved my comfort during long outings. If you’re looking for a way to enhance your carrying experience, these shoulder pads are definitely worth considering!

4 stars to start, will update as needed. Just received these and installed them on my PC. I'm 6' 1" and 245 lbs. My plates are 11x14. My particular PC straps have pads (sort of) integrated into the Velcro strap retention flaps. That padding is thin but the "angel wings" that secure the adjustment straps are sewn directly to the shoulder straps. I thought about removing them but didn't. I installed these over top of them. It was definitely a tight fit but I made it work. The pads are long enough (front to back) to go from plate to plate and after some finagaling, got these to mount covering the Velcro as it should be. The pads/materials are nicely stitched and are decently thick. The Velcro isn't quite as strong as it could be but isn't horrible either. They definitely took the "bite" out of the straps. Pretty pleased with them so far but only time will tell how they perform.

I added these to my plate carrier workout vest with 17 pounds of plates and it made a big difference. The plate carrier rides nicer and the weight is better distributed so that the straps don't hurt the shoulders. Super easy to install as they just wrap around the strap and are secured with strong hook/loop (Velcro). They even have Molle loops for a small clip light or something.

This is a good product for the money. I placed this on my Tacticon Vest Lite and have been happy with it. Pretty good stitching and comfort on the shoulders. The camo pattern is actually pretty good too. I would buy another.

These were a surprisingly pleasant addition to a Haley Strategic flatpack shoulder straps. They were comfortable, stayed put, and did a great job of keeping the hydration pack line in place. If you have a flat pack strap that is digging into your neck right where it meets your traps, these are a great way to eliminate that pressure/irritation without feeling bulky or hot.

I've got a bunch of shoulder strap bags that came with flat, plastic "pads" that tend to cut into my neck and mark my shoulder. These Tactifans 2 Pack Shoulder Strap Pad, Fit 2'' Shoulder Straps, are easy to install and so much more comfortable! They spread the load without biting when I put a heavy back on my shoulder, and they prevent the bag from sliding without using tiny fangs that mark my skin. I will buy more for my other bags!

Nice, thick, and sturdy. Went on a few ruck marches with these bad-boys. Definitely made a difference 👍

Slapped these bad boys onto my plate carrier and suddenly I’m no longer being slowly strangled by nylon and regret. Instant comfort. Felt like I’d upgraded from “budget henchman” to “main character energy” in one Velcro swoop. They stay put, cushion the load, and make me look like I know what I’m doing—even though I definitely Googled how to put them on. If your vest is currently trying to sand your collarbones into powder, do yourself a favour and grab a pair. Your shoulders will thank you. Probably out loud.

Not practical at all. Too hard and solid that it doesn’t hold on the shoulders. Not comfortable as described. A total waste. Not recommended
