It's a must-read if you're a huge fan or not! It feels like another episode of the show that's not afraid to expand the universe and pave the way for so much more development! The characters are so accurate and their interactions are so fun to read. It hits you so hard emotionally too. Just a PERFECT read, I so recommend. Also... seeing Vlad again was just insanely good. His arc and characterization in this was beyond my expectations and I so so hope we see him again. Just incredible. Review: Phenomenal Phantom Comic - Fantastic graphic novel. Really satisfying plot and great art

Worth the Read
Where do I even start? I have seen a lot of comments regarding how this book is banking on nostalgia and honestly? It absolutely is, and it's working. I am a 27-year-old, childfree woman who grew up watching Danny Phantom, and I purchased this for me, myself, and I the moment my paycheck hit the bank. And while the recommended age for this book is 10+, it is most definitely catered to hit us with nostalgia. HOWEVER, it is written in such a way that those who stumble upon the book without seeing the show would not be terribly lost in the storytelling. It has been trending since its release and Amazon has already had to restock a few times. 1000% recommend that you purchase it. The book follows the beloved Team Phantom - Danny, Sam, and Tucker - shortly after the events of the final episode, Phantom Planet, as they find themselves on a mission to defeat a powerful and familiar foe - Dark Danny. There's other familiar faces, too, as well as witty banter, an interesting plot twist, and an ending that leaves the opportunity for a potential continuation of the graphic novel. The writing itself is very onpar with that of the show, allowing the characters to maintain their personalities without worry that they will seem off. There were very few, miniscule parts that I would have wanted changed, but they're easy to overlook. Listen y'all, this book is too good to not get.

Great Story
Very fun ride. Sort of a cold drop into the action, but then the action is really fun. Art quality is super great, it follows the show style and adapts to what works for a comic. Most importantly it works really well as a ‘true ending’ to the show, putting pieces back in their place and giving a nice ending to some parts that were left open. Spoilers: Vlad and Dan’s ending, with Dan having someone to be family for him after he lost his, and Vlad finally having a sort-of son like he always hoped for, was really touching (and a way nicer end than Vlad stuck in space forever alone, or Dan stuck inside a tiny ghost thermos outside of time forever). Also, directly confirming ghost obsession theory and forcing Danny to figure out his own ghostly obsession and actually then change it to find an obsession he can still fulfill is so good!!!

Did justice to the show.
Though it leaves out a lot of the bite that the old 2000's cartoon had (which is fair since it's marketed to children below age 10), the book is a worthy successor and a seamless follow-up to the events of the show. What surprised me the most was how it understood the tone and voice of the original work, and was able to recreate it in comic form. I was also pleased that it didn't mope around without challenging the status quo of the show, expanding to create its own territory and present something new. It's a fun read, though I wouldn't pick it up before watching the series.

It's a fun little read but great for long time fans.
I enjoyed reading this. This book felt like a good continuation. It captures a similar vibe the tv show had with its characterization & funny moments. Or at least from what I remember. I liked the art and the coloring. The art is very expressive with the emotions displayed on the characters faces. I didn't like that but that's a me problem. Danny's character growth was cool. Vlad's character growth was great. Most of the supporting cast felt the same. Not much to say there. The action was okay. It didn't pick up for me until the final battle at the end. However, I didn't like Dark Danny's or Phantom's characterization. Only at the end of the story. I also wasn't too fond of the ending in general. It felt safe and like a typical Marvel/DC comic book ending. But overall, it's a fine read. And I recommend it if you grew up watching Danny Phantom like I did.

Exactly what the series needed.
Danny Phantom hasn't been terribly significant to me in 15 years or so, but every once in a while it would come up as a subject and I would idly think "man, talk about a show that deserves a reboot" and then forget about it again. As a show it was... well, a really cool concept that left a lot laying on the table, and wasn't terribly well executed. But as a moody teenager in the 00s I loved it anyway. I found out this book existed recently by complete chance, via a video game artist I follow's bluesky account that quoted a post about it. After glancing at the good reviews and experiencing a wave of nostalgia, I bought it. It then sat by my desk for a couple days before I finally picked it up - and couldn't put it back down. Regardless of your age, if you have any sort of positive memories from this weird kids cartoon from the mid-aughts, trust me, pick up this comic. It's a perfect standalone story, strikes a perfect balance of humor, action, and heart-warming, ties up a bunch of loose threads from the original show, ret-cons the terrible series finale, and reloads Chekov's gun for some potential follow-ups. I've already pre-ordered the second book that comes out later this year and am absolutely pumped to read it.

I have been a Danny Phantom fan since 2005, from the time I was a tween all the way up to adulthood. Its the type of cartoon hyperfixation that stays in your bloodstream and refuses to leave. I have been hoping for new DP content since the show ended, but also carried feeling of doubt that a good revival or reboot would be possible in 2023. WELL Y'ALL WE'VE BEEN PROVEN WRONG WHOOOOO OUR BOI IS BACK !!!!!!!! Many Danny Phantom fans are adults now, this book was a great mesh of keeping the charm of the original show while also diving deeper into lore, drama and character development that yes- will hold up for an adult cartoon-loving audience. Excited and happy to see Danny phantom's legacy and story passed on to a new storyteller who has more than earned her credibility to steer the ship of the world for these beloved characters. I VERY deeply hope there are more volumes to come !!!

So, did you hate the series finale as much as the majority of people? This the comic you want then. Answers questions, dives deeper into previously brushed upon world building. A fantastic restart to a series that had such incredible untapped potential that was ruined by poor spending, terrible network politics and Butch Hartmans unfathomable ego. If this is the direction and kickstart into something new, I'm fully invested.

Really liked reading this; it starts where the original Danny phantom show ended and wraps up the story well to the point if you wanted to do more or a reboot I’d say they gotta go with this graphic novel 1st
