Small, simple to wire and works with home assistant
I bought this about a year ago to convert the switch on the outside of my bathroom to a smart switch. I have no neutral wire, so this was obviously the no-neutral version! As you can see in the details, this is a really small device and fitted nicely behind the switch in a 35mm back box. The instructions are fairly clear and it's straightforward to wire up. Its a Zigbee device and once installed, it connected seamlessly with home assistant. I used ZHA on a sonoff 3.0 USB dongle plus. As it has no neutral, it doesn't work as a Zigbee router, so won't work to extend your Zigbee mesh. All in all a great product that has allowed me to convert a dumb switch to a smart one. In addition, the physical dumb switch remains functional which keeps the luddites in my family happy too!

Works with Smartthings
I'm using it to turn on the porch light via Smartthings. I've disconnected the PIR from the lamp as it was picking up too much activity across the road. Now the lamp ONLY turns on when HUMAN is detected on property BOUNDARY. (Reolink human detection > email > iFTTT > Smartthings > Sonoff) there is about 2 seconds delay to go through all these services, but works great haven't had any issues yet. Connects to Smartthings via Zigbee so no need to install 3rd party software. As you can see on the picture I'm only using the 1st two terminals, no need for the other 2 as its not switched. One minor observation when I was testing it on a LED flood light, about a quarter of the LEDs remains ON at low power when switched OFF, (zombie effect). Otherwise does what it's intended for, good responsiveness, great product.

Works perfectly with my light switches that have no neutral wire
Our light switches have a live wire in and then a wire out to the light with no neutral. This works perfectly with and still allows us to use our normal light switch as a dumb switch. You connect the live in to the relay "L In" connector and the wire to the light connects to the "L Out" connector. To add your dumb switch, connect the L1 to the L1 on the switch and the L2 to the Comm on the switch. The relay will follow the status of the physical switch while also allowing use independently of the switch. This means the switch can still be operated even if there relay loses connectivity. The relay does not allow you to switch on or off while it is in pairing mode but once it is out of pairing mode you can configure it for use via your Zigbee Hub and app or by pressing the physical button on the Relay. The relay is quite loud when clicking on and off and there is understandably a noticeable split second delay when using it. I'm terms of size they are no bigger than a £2 coin but my back boxes are only 16mm deep so they would not fit behind my switches without either digging a deeper back box or buying a back box extender frame. They advise not to use them in metal back box as they reduce range but I've had no issues with this. I purchased a 2 pack, one was faulty and kept disconnecting from the zigbee hub and amazon compensated me for this. I have the relays connected to my Home Assistant server via Zigbee2MQTT and it works well. I have an automation linked to a Zigbee button so that I can use it as a secondary switch. They are a fair price but you don't save much by buying them as a bundle. You can also purchase them directly from China via a popular Chinese drop shipping site for considerably cheaper if you are willing to wait an extra week for delivery. This should be kept in mind when considering value for money

Tiny, no Neutral - great for old fashioned UK wiring
This is a very neat solution it fitted inside the switch box (MK External switch) and connected easily to the Sonoff Zigbee hub. I now have timer and remote control via the app - which can make the lights come on at a certain time including sunset +/- but the switch also still works as a physical switch (although up/down now depends upon the state of the sonoff device. Other solutions were not as small, needed a neutral wire or allowed some "ghost" current through - this has none of these issues.

Does not work as suggested.
Unable to connect to the device. Made sure I had a 2.4Ghz WiFi connection and even created a network just to pair this. Still it could not be found on either the Android or Apple apps. I tried multiple smart devices apps after the one suggested in the manual but nothing detected the device. Luckily I only got one of these devices to test and one to test from another manufacturer. The device from the other manufacturer worked perfectly and is now installed and working flawlessly. I would suggest avoiding this device as it does not work as suggested.

Small, no neutral and so far very reliable
I had a Shelly 1L before this which was the only decent product I found that required no neutral so that I could retrofit it into a light switch, as common in older houses there is no neutral accessible at the switch. Because it's a rental house I can't just rewire so the Shelly 1L fitted the bill perfectly. The only problem was it was unreliable and it got worse with time, to the point where I could no longer get it to work at all. I tried everything, even flashing Tasmoto, all to no avail. And that's where this unit from Sonoff came in. It's even smaller than the Shelly 1L but a bit deeper. However, I've had it installed for several months now and it has never failed or disconnected like the Shelly. So far so good. It is Zigbee though vs. the wifi connectivity of the Shelly 1L so you will need a hub. But personally, I prefer Zigbee over wifi for IoT devices anyway. For reference, I'm using a Sonoff Zigbee USB Dongle E via Home Assistant and I have an extensive Zigbee mesh with a repeater device within 3m of the Sonoff switch. As long as it keeps working reliably this is a perfect item. My only quibble is it could be a tiny bit shallower so you don't need such a deep backbox but that's a minor.

This Zigbee switch does exactly what it's supposed to do: it reliably controls the light. The installation was surprisingly straightforward. I was able to connect it to my existing wiring without any issues, and its very compact size meant it fit perfectly into my round wall box, which is about 6 cm in diameter. Out of the box, it works as a direct replacement for a standard switch, but of course, it's not "smart" on its own. This is where I hit a small snag. I wasn't initially aware that to unlock its smart features—specifically, the ability to pair it with another wireless switch or remote—you absolutely need a Zigbee hub. This crucial detail could be clearer in the product description. Once my hub arrived, the pairing and setup process through the app was quick and effortless. The ability to now control the light from multiple points and integrate it into my smart home system is fantastic. Pros: - Extremely compact – fits into small wall boxes. - Simple physical installation – works with standard wiring. - Reliable performance and fast pairing once a hub is available. Cons: - Requires a Zigbee hub for all smart functionality (not always obvious for buyers). - The included instructions could be more comprehensive and clearer.
