Works great
I attach mine to my fermenters with reusable vinyl tape. Works fine and doesn't fall off. I've tried masking tape, and it seems to release every few days and required re-application. My basement is at 55F ambient. The thermometer pulled out of the thermowell, resulting in the heater running for 24 hours strain. In a 55F ambient basement, it heated the wort up to 91F. That's a 36F increase! Of course it ruined the batch, but goes to show just how well this performs. Do not be alarmed if you feel this wrap on the fermenter and parts of it are not warm. Those are spots where the fermenter is absorbing heat effectively. It's to be expected and is not a defective unit.

Works great, but isn't as big as it looks in the picture.
It isn't apparent from the picture or description, but this doesn't fit around a standard 5 gallon carboy. In fact, it doesn't even go all the way around my 3 gallon carboy. I suspect the picture actually shows 2 of these, one on each side. However, it still heats well. I have one holding my 3 gal carboy at 70 degrees in a room that gets as cool as 64 degrees, and it isn't on all the time so I suspect it could easily heat it past that temperature. ----- UPDATE: I ran a test and put 3.25 gal of water in a 5-gal plastic ale-pail, put this wrap around it, and let it run for a few hours. My water was at about 82F out of the tap when I started, and the ambient temp of the room was 69F. The single FermWrap was able to raise the temp of the water in the bucket to 98F before I called the test quits. Temp probe was submerged in the middle of the water. Pretty impressive! Based on this, I raised my rating to 5 star.

Great for keeping your kombucha at the right temperature
We are using this for our kombucha with a temperature controller, and has been working perfectly!

FermWrap has worked well for heating by Wine Primary Fermenter
I use the InkBird ITC-380 to control the temperature of the FermWrap. The FermWrap has been very effective in heating a 7 gal plastic fermenter. The InkBird controls the temperatre range and the FermWrap responds to the InkBird settings. I have used electrical tape to tack the wrap to the fermentor and it has held well. The wrap is a slightly wider than the fermenter is high and barely fits from top to bottom. I would/will buy again.

Works Great!
I was apprehensive about trying this, but after a friend told me that he had used a similar heat wrap with great success, I decided to give it a try. I was not sure about it at first, but it has worked like a dream. In my humble opinion, this thing has been worth it's weight in gold. I use the FermWrap in conjunction with an Inkbird digital thermostat controller and the Homebrew #7 Bung with a thermowell (I bought everything right here on Amazon). It has consistently maintained my carboy temp between 70-72 F and provided consistent, optimal working conditions for the yeast. If it breaks tomorrow, I'll order another one.

Great fermenter warmer
This warming pad is amazing. I paired it with the insulation jacket for my Fermzilla and I can keep my fermenter at a constant temperature even when the ambient temperature has been as low as 41 in my garage brewery. I have had the temperature as high at 79 so far on a cold winter night. I used blue painters tape and an ink bird thermostat and life is good. Can’t better this for the price.

Disposible. Broke too soon.
Stopped working after about 18 months.

Works great - can be used on plastic type fermenters
I bought this for a more narrow plastic fermenter I occasionally use. I have the larger style with the Velcro but it’s too long for an average size fermenter. Besides having to use tape to attach this, it performed well on its first batch and did not hurt the plastic fermenter which is what I was worried about.
