I also poached a large quantity of quinces in it for the freezer. Absolutely nothing sticks, it's a doddle to clean, and it's light to use. The non-stick coating is safe. Yes, the handles get hot, I've seen reviews that complain about that but I don't know why anyone would expect that not to happen. Use oven gloves, and always assume any part of a pan that's been used on a hob or in the oven is going to be hot. I was thinking more in the lines of enamelled cast iron, and the deeper model, however, I have an illness that causes pain and weakness, so I took the plunge and ordered the aluminium shallow, wider, lighter model. Well, it's perfect. The size, depth, and non stick ceramic coating is better than expected. It came packaged very well with two layers of plastic and a fabric cap to protect the lid from scratches or damage, all in a sturdy box. The pot is good quality, light, well made, and suitable for induction ceramic stove tops. Cost was good being a pre black Friday deal.
