I was looking for large mugs as I already have 450ml supermarket mugs as well as a 500ml which is noticeably bigger so I was a little disappointed. These mugs also have larger than average handles.Saying that, for the price, they're very nice mugs. They have a chunky feel and a thick glaze. Even the handles are surprisingly comfy.If only they were bigger and the insides a lighter colour so I can gauge how long to brew a tea bag for (it's dark blue, the same as the outside). I have to rely on other people to do the washing-up, and they do not always take the best care of my crockery and glassware. I can be reasonably certain that these mugs will stand up to a bit of a knock.The colours are striking too, the cobalt contrasting nicely with the paler blue.
