amazingly these really work well, my daughter had a big mole problem and we purchased one of these not expecting it to work but it did! Unfortunately they get badly affected by water ingression which stops them working, so I have just purchased my third one, but will silicone seal all the areas of possible water ingression. The 5 stars is for the effectiveness of the product, I would only give 2 or 3 stars for product longevity.

I bought this alleged mole repeller in desperation because nothing else had worked, but also with some trepidation because of the large number of poor reviews. Sadly I was proven right; it's utterly useless as a repellent as it actually seems to attract the moles (my research suggests that during the breeding season - spring/summer - the moles hear this as a threat and will investigate to protect their young/mates). Hilariously this has actually resulted in us solving our problem as the moles come to the surface and our cat then pounces; he's managed to catch 5 moles since we bought and installed the "repeller" (all were rescued from the cat very much alive and relocated a couple of fields away by the brook). So; will it help with your mole problem - only if you have a cat that is a mouser .....

It seems to have kept the moles away until today when I had a visitor, we have 12/3 acres of land , 2/3 acre lawn, 1acre pasture which surrounds the lawn so we are a target for moles. Out of necessity I have developed great skills in trapping and killing moles-the life expectancy of any visiting mole is now less than a day( usual shorter) but I prefer to deter, so bought 4 of these spread out around 3/4 of the border between lawn and pasture along the fence, I am certain it has made a big difference but nothing is foolproof, if you have a mole problem I would give these a go, but you simply MUST start with a mole free space, if they still come in, trap them, its easy once you know how

This has been very difficult to review, as its effectiveness seems to have varied a great deal over time. First impressions were positive - easy to put in place, and through long summer and shorter winter days the solar panel has kept it buzzing every few minutes. It was purchased to persuade a mole in a small area of lawn to head back to the neighbouring field it seemed to have arrived from...having raised over a dozen mole hills it had made quite a mess. At first this seemed to do the job - buzzing away and no more mole hills. Then, a few weeks later, and despite still buzzing the mole (or moles) was back with a vengeance.... Cut forward a few weeks and the mole has moved to another small lawn, leaving the one with the mole spike alone... So how can I sum this up? This is not a guaranteed solution to moles. It does though seem to have some success at times; my best guess this is largely down to the weather and how wet or dry the ground is and in turn how effective the pulses this sends out at deterring the moles. If you are looking at only a non lethal solution it may be worth a try, but the conventional traps are likely to be the more effective solution if moles are a real problem for your garden.

Works a treat! After a summer of new mole hills every day, they stopped as soon as I started using the spike. Unfortunately it was accidentally switched off and within one night there were 8 new mole hills. After switching it back on there have been no more. I would definitely recommend this item.

I have a mole problem.. It drives me insane. My back garden backs onto woodland and fields so wildlife are a norm but I'm gradually losing my entire lawn. I hate mole traps so decided to give these a go. Once in they make an annoying beep./buzz sound every 30 seconds or so....forever.... Presumably that's meant to keep the moles away but I am still getting them. This morning one had appeared less than a foot from the spike!

I would like to warn anybody thinking of purchasing this device to stop and read my advice. Not only did the device fail to get rid of the mole but the sonic vibrations seemed to attract the mole. After just two days this product had become some sort of idol to the moles and they made lots of little mole hills in the shape of an Inverted Pentagram with their vibrating idol in the centre. This device had escalated what was a single mole annoyance into a cult of moles with sinister intentions. Thankfully I did find a solution on the interweb and it worked perfectly. All you need is a high pressure hose, tennis racket and tube of Vaseline. Simply insert the hose into the most recent mole hole and turn the water on. This forces the mole to ejaculate from one of its pesky holes and shoot a few feet into the air. At this point you swing at it with the tennis racket and try to knock it into your neighbour’s garden. I made the fundamental error telling my neighbour about my intentions and to my disappointment he was ready and waiting with his own tennis racket. After about 90 seconds of mole tennis I got distracted by my camel mosaic and my neighbour produced a stunning backhander to return the mole to its lost idol. I was lucky as my other neighbour is a very old lady and I managed to take her down in just two sets. The Vaseline was used as a celebratory lubricant.

For the last 3 yrs I have been plagued with mole hills sometimes between 20/30 I have a large garden which backs onto fields so thought I'd never get rid of them I tried other brands of these which didn't work, the garden ended up all spongey from all the runs underneath and if there wasn't a new hill it was a track just under the surface I was in despare. We then purchased these about 3 wks ago first couple days had the odd track but fingers crossed no more hills I'm one happy customer I can not rate these enough we have 1 in centre and 1 on the boarder I see they may have gone to the ladies field behind me in her nice new recently sown grass !!! May they continue to work well in the winter highly recomend these to anyone excellant product thankyou

il mio giardino era infestato da talpe tanto da sembrare un groviera,preso lo scacciatalpe le talpe se ne sono andate,ovviamente se si ha un giardino grande e meglio prenderne più d una. ad un mese di distanza dall acquisto per ora funziona ancora e almeno la mia colonia di talpe non sono ancora tornate

Der Kaufvorgang verlief wie gewohnt völlig schmerzfrei, schnell und unkompliziert. Voller Erwartung habe ich das Gerät installiert, leider setzt die erwünschte Wirkung auch nach mehreren Wochen nicht ein. Somit muss ich erneut nach geeigneten Mitteln gegen Wühlmäuse suchen. El producto es bueno. Compre el mismo en aki hace dos años. Y ese tiempo ha durado. Quizá el radio de accion no es de 15m. Yo diria que es mas bien 8-10. Pero para mi qje tengo un jardín pequeño me basta y sobra

El producto funciona como se indica, hace ruido y se carga buen ...pero no ha ahuyentado a mis topos... no le hacen ni caso.

il prodotto è arrivato in fretta,confezione a posto, e stato di facile impiego,poi con interuttore di accensione puoi accenderlo e spegnerlo facilmente senza smontarlo, le talpe dalla zona messa sono scomparse dopo pochi giorni piccolo giardinetto davanti a casa. e un mese e funziona ancora emettendo il suo bip Rivedo dopo qualche mese di utilizzo la mia recessione. Mi dispiace ma dopo qualche temporale si è riempito d'acqua il pannello dell'energia solare e non funziona più!! Sconsiglio.Adesso a chi mi rivolgo? amazon ok
